California’s electoral system is highly manipulated, in terms of getting leftist groups to turn out, mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, etc.... tweaks, exemptions, and fudges - to get the necessary results.
I don’t live in California, but it seems these manipulations then find their way to other states. They aren’t like old-school marxists, where a vote needs to be 100%, rather, 55%-60% is enough to gain a super-majority.
And if a vote goes against them (gay marriage, for example) they have the State Supreme Court overturn it.
