All that were mainstays of Soviet propaganda since the 1940s.

The last time the Japan nuke thing was used was against Reagan in the Pershing II demos the Russians stirred up all over Europe using their hold on the Euro left of the day, and various “agents of influence” elsewhere.

Same old KGB shit. Go read Mitrokhin on how that worked.

You did support Reagan, didnt you? Or was he also a globalist globohomo Soros stooge?

I support neither, this isn’t and shouldn’t be our fight but we are butting in anyway with no real reason why.

Because I am not screaming for missiles to fly and Russia to be destroyed hardly makes one a Putin fanboy. I’m a fan of America first and nothing in this conflict helps America first, there is no upside in sticking our nose into this fight, all down. Since we stuck our nose into this mess we have sanctioned ourselves and Europe into an economic abyss and the coming winter will be a self-inflicted human disaster by the western so-called democracies(after their behavior with covid I can’t call them democracies with a straight face).

Putin is a dictator but his assertion that the west has gone insane is correct observation, if one reads the FR threads commenting on our dive into perversion and wokeness where we question the basics of two genders. A broken clock is right twice a day.

Meaning that threats of nuke exchanges are supposed to help the Dems? Or that getting nuked would be s good way to forestall elections?

I'm tried of the U.S. always being blamed for what the Dims did in history.

Like when Dim prez Truman ordered Fat Man and Little Boy be dropped on Japan. Or his Dim predecessor FDR put Japanese Americans into internment camps. Or his Dim predecessor Jefferson Davis led a civil war to keep blacks in chains. Or his Dim predecessor Andre Jackson did the trail of tears.

A few decades from now the left will blame all of us for the Dim atrocity of aborting over 60 million babies.

The Soviet line for decades was that the US was a hellscape of racism and oppression of the workers.

The contemporary Russian line is similar in tone but uses different issues.

Bad guys are just going to use whatever propaganda lever they can.

When I was in West Germany in the 80’s, there was more than one German who talked about American forces occupying their country.

That was basically "99 Luftballoons" in a nutshell.

Soviets used liberals, Putin is using conservatives.

All wars since WW1 were caused by the treaty agreed upon after WW1.

EVERY, SINGLE, ONE.

My thoughts after listening to Putin’s speech…

Definitely a different perspective on historical events

USA occupying allies? Possible I suppose if allies are being manipulated into keeping US bases, but I’m thinking if Germans, Japanese, and S. Koreans really wanted us gone, we would be.

America a force for evil, Satanic even? We are pushing abortion and a slew of sexual deviancies on other nations. We use our economic power to twist other nations into complying with our political aims.

Putin is not insane (didn’t look near death either). Even if we think he sounds crazy, it would be very foolish to ignore what he said, because that is probably how most Russians view the situation.

Easy for them to say.

RuSSian’s are a bunch of wimpy Pu**ies or they would’ve already gotten rid of this FREAK.

And it is now clear that the Putinists on this site agree with this madman, hate America just as much, and root for our own destruction.

What a pity they are allowed to pollute here...

I went to superb schools, which I realized only decades later when I was able to compare vs US high schools and universities. For a few years there I was tasked with doing university recruiting, along with all the usual stuff on my plate. It was an “education”.

But I was way ahead of all my schools on these matters. By the seventh grade I had read all 11 volumes of Durant’s “Civilization” series (a BA in liberal arts right there), was almost done with the 20 volumes of Colliers encyclopedia, had gotten started on the Loeb Classics, etc. ad infinitum and on from there to this day. I was the bookworms bookworm.

More than one of my girlfriends called me “Peabody”.

Again, he blamed the West for his invasion of Ukraine because they believe Russia is a 'colony' and a 'band of slaves, and wants to break it up into smaller states who 'will be fighting against each other'

Putin is reinventing history to suit his own twisted agenda. Prior to the invasion of Ukraine, Americans didn't give two craps about what happened within Russia's own borders. We couldn't have cared less if it had stayed unified or broken into smaller component parts, which was not a possible outcome anyway. The idea that we wanted Russia to be a colony, or band of slaves is just lunacy.

This is Putin trying to create a persecution complex among Russians so they'll support his murderous land-grabe.
