President Biden lashed out at gas stations on Tuesday for allegedly being tardy in lowering the price of fuel in line with dropping oil prices.
During a meeting Monday with economic aides, Biden lamented that while crude prices fell sharply last month, it has taken a “long time” for the drop in price to trickle down to the consumer.
“We haven’t seen the lower prices reflected at the pump though. Meanwhile, oil and gas companies are still making record profits — billions of dollars in profit,” the president said Monday.
“My message is simple. To the companies running gas stations and setting those prices at the pump: Bring down the prices you’re charging at the pump to reflect the cost you pay for the product.”
The president exhorted gas stations to pass along savings to customers more quickly.
“Do it now,” Biden said. “Do it now. Not a month from now — do it now.”
“And it’s going to save people a lot of money.”

Stalin called people who got in the way of the Revolution “wreckers”. It’s a catchy word. Perhaps Slow Joe should take a page from Uncle Joe”s playbook, and call the gas station owners wreckers.
Side note to Mr. Biden: Stalin shot most of his wreckers. I don’t think you have to do that. Not yet, anyway. FBI raids should suffice.

At the gas station, petrol is priced with the replacement cost in mind. Making demands is pure stupidity.

He’s the ‘angry’ type ... I was in a nursing home frequently (daily, for hours) as medical power of atty for a friend in the nursing home. The “angry” type dementia patients were something else .... so bad that staff had a hard time dealing with them and family rarely visited. Others were sweet & childlike ... that is not FJB. I’m sure he’s lots of ‘fun’ at home in Delaware and a walking pharmacy.
Midterms are coming up.
Gotta do everything they can to garner enough votes so their cheating works.
