I was supposed to go to Jax and then Gainesville this weekend, but those plans got cancelled this morning. Going to stay in Indiana in case any of my folks need to flee up here. Hopefully not though. I hope this is just a bad storm.
No we are east of Tallahassee halfway between Tall. and Jacksonville. We are on one of the only hills in this area.
I remember Camille. I think that was my first remembered experience with a hurricane. Before that I was just too young to understand what was going on around me.

Another botched news headline. If wind speeds weren't high enough to make Cat 1, it wasn't a hurricane, so there was no "Hurricane Ian" to upgrade.
Should have read, "Tropical Storm 'Ian' now upgraded to Cat 1 Hurricane."

It’s moving slow enough that when it approaches TBA it’ll pile up two high tides into the bay with the wind preventing water from going out. Thursday AM is going to be bad.
