Last night when the weather channel was droning on about climate change causing these record numbers of hurricanes they stopped their graph at 2020.
Stop listening to these “scientists”. Find your hurricane coverage elsewhere.

Have been listening to various reports on weather that will affect how Ian develops and why....all saying likly Cat 4 but even if less it's expected to ‘crawl’ through Florida at a slow pace.

I check all over and then determine what it might look like - twitter is good for locating actual news agencies on the ground and in the air but you have to wade thru the nonsense.

Nobody is looking at this as lightly as you....this is slated to land at a cat 4 and slow moving potential high across most of Florida and above it.

You might want to check your sources.....there is a weather trough dropping onto the gulf that is expected to interact with this storm and may weaken it enough to drop it to a cat 2 or maybe even a cat 1......so it’s not ALL gloom doom death and destruction.

I saw one projection for the ‘rains’ from this traveling up to PA if it doesn’t go out to sea. Interesting to view various sources.
I have family members in Jacksonville Fl. Which doesn’t look like they’re going to avoid this one - they’re saying it’s looking like what Hurricane Irma brought them. So they went out yesterday to add to their emergency supplies. Stores and gas stations really busy.
But they are pros at preparing for these possibilities. And they’ll be putting up their hurricane shutters.

I did see that however with the weather that’s pushing downward and the high water temperatures it’s anybodies guess how it will land.
Family in Florida have seen Hurricanes look like they’re coming into Jacksonville, off the coast, only to see the direction suddenly change and bypass them. Otheers they get. They’re saying this is tracking like Irma did which flooded Jacksonville..

Correct...which is expected to cause wind shear that will weaken this storm.
So a cat 4 or even 3 hurricane at landfall is not expected from everything hearing.
