Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, the Republican candidate for Senate, has an 8-point lead over his Democratic opponent, incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, according to a new poll released Thursday.
The poll, conducted by independent pollster Rich Baris, found when asked if the election for U.S. Senate was held today, 49% of Nevada Hispanics would vote for Laxalt and 41% for Cortez Masto. The remaining were undecided or would choose a third-party candidate.
This tracks with earlier reports that Nevada Hispanics have become disillusioned with President Joe Biden. A July poll found Hispanics voters in Nevada would choose both former President Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over Biden.

This poll was conducted in English. I believe Laxalt is doing well, but a poll of Nevada Hispanics conducted exclusively in English is... not maybe a real poll?

Well any Spanish only speaking Nevadans probably aren’t Legal citizens. So TECHNICALLY they should not be voting. Yeah right.
Now if only Masters could take out that slimy Astronnut in Arizona. Fricking commie back bencher.
You'd be surprised. Probably not like Texas or Florida where huge numbers of US citizens speak only Spanish but it's still got to be a sizeable number.
Cat mantoes needs to be ‘cheney’d’ in November.
Lots of spanish only speakers here. As to legal status.....?
Ohio, Wisconsin, Nevada and North Carolina are sure wins.
Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania are probable wins.
New Hampshire conceivable but probably out of reach.
Washington, Colorado, likely out of reach.
Result: 53 Republican senators
At least 52 are needed to prevent the likes of Mitt Romney becoming the Republican equivalent of Joe Manchin and holding the party hostage.
If that happens (GOP takes Senate by 3 and the House), the democrats will mobilize their foot soldiers and there will be riots and destruction.
Mark my words.
So the Republican leads the Hispanic named Dem among Hispanics. Not good for the Democrats.
To add your name to the growing Nevada ping list, FReepmail me...
Richard Baris has been proclaiming this Hispanic shift for over two years, beginning in FL, then in TX.
At the same time Asians are moving D. (Obviously Rs win the net on that tradeoff). I could be wrong, but I think here in AZ Ds don’t have one single statewide Hispanic candidate?
β At some time the boil will have to be lanced.β
That will happen in 2024.
If Trump or DeSantis beat Newsom (or whoever), some deep blue states led by California, Oregon, Washington and New York and Massachusetts will secede (or attempt to). It kind of rhymes with 1860 but the Democrats own different states now.
In 2012, polling suggested tremendous infiltration of the black and Hispanic communities. Results showed otherwise.
Okay Surrender Monkey Caucus time to switch back to saying Warlock will beat Walker and O’Dea doesn’t have a chance against Bennett.
Let the screeching start!
Good. My family (old) had ties to Paul Laxalt...long time ago.
I feel confident Masters will win.
So will Ron Johnson, Herschel Walker, Dr. Oz and Ted Budd
