Alex Jones: ‘I’m DONE saying I’m sorry’ over false Sandy Hook hoax claims

Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday told a jury he’s “done” apologizing for pushing the conspiracy theory that the 2012 mass shooting that killed 20 children and six teachers at Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary School was a hoax.

“Is this a struggle session? Are we in China? I’ve already said I’m sorry hundreds of times and I’m done saying I’m sorry,” Jones told a court in his Connecticut defamation trial.

Plaintiff attorney Christopher Mattei had asked Jones to “show a little respect” to the bereaved families present in the courtroom after the Infowars owner had ranted about liberals.

Mattei at one point noted that the victims’ families are “real people.”

“Just like all the Iraqis you liberals killed and love. Just, you’re unbelievable. You switch on emotions, on-and-off when you want. You’re just ambulance chasing,” Jones parried.

In his false claims that the Sandy Hook tragedy was a hoax, Jones had pushed the narrative that the victims’ parents were “crisis actors.”

Jones has since acknowledged the massacre, but is now embroiled in a number of legal battles over his theories as the families of the Sandy Hook victims sue him for defamation and emotional distress.

He was found liable by default in the defamation case at hand after failing to comply with court orders, and the Connecticut jury is now merely deciding how much Jones and his business need to pay up in damages.

I don’t know this Alex Jones fellow (he may be nuts but who knows) however, someone would have to explain how it is exactly that these parents are entitled to money just because he spouted some nonsense.

That’s the part that is hard for people to keep in mind.
It is happening in a court room, so people think it’s the government doing it, but if it’s a civil suit and not criminal prosecution, then it’s brought by people, not the government, and not protected by the first amendment.

However, that’s not all black and white. Why is it that the press and “news” organizations can basically outright lie, and they DO seem to get protections by the court? I have heard that defamation is harder to win if it’s against the press, because they have some kind of protections. In a civil suit that shouldn’t matter, should it?

I’m not rooting for an ever increasing litigious society, but I believe Sandman successfully sued some “news” organizations, so there are examples you can sympathize with.

Never tell a Leftist you're sorry, he will take it as admission of guilt.
And that's just the beginning. Leftists never forgive.

But he is protected by the 1st, and would have won this thing hands down based on the 1st if he had just showed up to court during the first phase of the case. But because he didn’t show to defend himself it was handed to his accusers by default.

“It is happening in a court room, so people think it’s the government doing it, but if it’s a civil suit and not criminal prosecution, then it’s brought by people, not the government”

Oh you can bet the government is behind it, helping with it, and promoting it 100% by proxy. The timing is far too convenient for the government at this particular time.

Very possible as I suspect FR has agents gathering information on who’s who and creating lists of people to go after.

CT mass media has been having a field day with this stuff—it is their way of reminding the peons to sit down and shut up—or face the consequences.

A lot of people seem to think that calling Sandy Hook a false flag is totally ridiculous because “And the whole city was involved in the hoax.....right Sheese”. Those kids died there, absolutely. No question. However other kids and people in the town or school would have personally known them, making their deaths all but impossible to fake. A false story line however involving who really committed the crime or why they did would be easy to fake for an agency like the FBI or CIA. That is what I call a false flag.

Count on it, But you don’t even have to be a member or logged in. The site is wide open to the public and they do not even need to be logged in to gather information. Even the user’s profile pages and posting archives are wide open to the public and searchable including for metadata bots to search.

the average person has no idea what happened at Sandy Hook, but I can tell you that the official narrative reeks to high heaven.

“And a whole city was involved in the hoax”

That used to be my biggest hang-up also.

Then I watched what the entire medical industry just did.

“then it’s brought by people, not the government,”

Just coming off the revelation that the Gov is working with Facebook to censor.... this is not a given anymore... if it ever really was.

Love him or hate him, Jones has been over the target on a lot of things.

On threads like this I tell folks my story on the day of Sandy Hook.

I live in CT and was listening to the local radio call in shows while I was running errands—several hours after the Sandy Hook “event”.

I remember a couple of Fairfield County callers asked the station for help understanding what was happening.

They were EMTs and told their story.

When they heard on the radio about the massacre they stopped what they were doing and immediately reported to their local heli-pad in Bridgeport or Stamford so they be flown to the school and offer aid to the wounded kids. (It would be a short helicopter ride to get them to the site.)

They were shocked when they reported for duty.

Their bosses told them “Nobody told you to report here. Go home.”

We later found that according to the official version there were no wounded children at Sandy Hook.

Compare that with other mass shootings and you will get the idea....something smelled very weird in Connecticut that day.

“>>Granted he has deeper pockets than most of us.

Not anymore.”

Actually this has a silver lining for Jones financially. These dummies are handing him more publicity than he has ever had with this action. Because this state has a cap on damages Jones is going to end up actually profiting from all this publicity even after paying the awards.

They have been helping him plug his book and show over and over during this whole thing, even in court testimony. He couldn’t have asked for more free advertisement than what he is getting right now. Even the MSM is helping plug his stuff for him with their coverage of this case.

This will end up being a windfall for him... The liberal dummies stepped on their own feet again.

You greatly exaggerate the importance and significance of this site today. FR is not much but a geriatric shell of what it was fifteen years ago. The small number of postings illustrates the decline in number of participants and the bumper sticker mentality displayed by many posters demonstrates the decline in quality and probably the intelligence of many posters. Any three letter agency monitoring this site would only be satisfied at its decline into Elk’s Club politics irrelevancy.

I saw an article couple weeks ago the FBI has issued subpoenas to Google and other Search Providers for keyword searches of anyone using searching for information on a list of words or phrases provided to these Tech companies to monitor.
