Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen said Wednesday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that he thanks God for New York State Attorney General Letitia James because she filed a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and his adult children.
Co-anchor Alisyn Camerota said, “She gave you credit which this investigation. I remember we all do when you testified in front yyyCamerota asked, “Can you just take us in the room with Donald Trump when he is claiming that his apartment is 30,000 square feet, but it is clearly 10,000 square feet, but he is filling the first out the paperwork and claiming that it’s three times the size, do you or does anyone in that room tell the emperor he has no clothes? How does he do that? What’s that conversation?”

Because it is impossible for a bank or city assessor to actually go and see real estate properties with their own eyes to verify an application. (What bank is going to loan money on a property sight unseen?)

I swear these commies really are idiots. I can say my house is worth 4 mil, if someone pays that much for it good for them. There is this house three blocks from us, the woman who owned it died and her children are trying to sell it, for 2.8 million, as a TEAR DOWN its total crap inside but look at what they are asking..I doubt a bank appraised it for that much but that is what they are selling it for
I always like overstating my square footage so the assessor can raise my taxes.

Value is an opinion until a property goes on the market and goes through a sales process where the buyer has the right to do their investigations to make sure the property is as advertised.
Witch hunt, plain and simple.

Nothing. Overstating the size of a property usually leads to higher property taxes.
A bank, were a property be used as collateral for a loan, should do their due diligence to confirm the details of a property. The same goes for a buyer to a property.
That being said, commercial properties are especially hard to perform a valuation as one is trying to project income and losses in an ever-changing economy.
Unless the appraiser was bribed there is no crime.
And Texans have experience with overinflated values for property.
In (nearly?) every case, someone at the bank was in on the loan value.
Cohen got out early Due to Covid.
Covid is that one size fits all excuse for everything
