One thing that these PC articles won’t talk about is that gay men, who became less promiscuous with the advent of AIDs, went back to being promiscuous once AIDs became old news. Now STDs are running wild through that population again.
Several years ago while I was working in family medicine for department of defense I would tell my younger patients there’s One way to avoid pregnancy and STDs and it’s real simple abstinence until marriage fidelity until death, it’s not a curse it’s a blessing. My colleagues were infuriated I had to face the open ire of several nurse practitioners as well as my chief who insisted that condoms were 100% protective that he used them when he was in the Middle East blah blah blah blah blah and it took a while for me to explain atlunchtime conference about zero sum games, risk assessment, pre-cum and the light kind of started to dawn on him.
My basic observation was and had been since the 1980s if sex education and condoms were the end-all be-all preventative for STDs and pregnancy how come rates of both conditions were on the rise consistently everywhere those methodologies had been applied and at younger and younger ages?
I had a friend who worked in Tacoma Park Maryland (Germy Raskin democrat stronghold) in elementary schools teaching sex Ed/prevention to fifth grade girls who were getting pregnant - fifth grade, 11 year olds.
Not just by older family members either.
But we all know that right now the major problem is in the homosexual male community with their unnatural bathhouse zoo-sex culture and how many of them are still “in the closet“ and sharing these conditions with their dutiful unknowing spouses and that doesn’t seem to be likely to change anytime soon.
I am So glad my last day of primary/urgent care was almost a year ago. What happened to that guy who was always trying to get everyone to go on cruises....? One thing, however: There have been huge epidemics of STD in the past, even in ancient times. The gay guys in speedos marching down the middle of the street phenomenon is just a modern manifestation of something that’s been around for a loooooonnnnng time.
It’s just that in the past, diseases were more easily transmitted and not as much was known about how they start and spread.
Not too long ago I viewed a documentary about how women who lived in rural India were getting HIV and it was turning into an epidemic. As it turned out, the main part of the infected women were married to truck drivers who were having sex with female prostitutes - who apparently had or have a practice of hanging around at various places along truck routes, and who were found to have HIV in record numbers.
Especially the "gay" variety.
In a sad way, this is good news. It means Democrats are being culled because of their ideology. Brutal but true.

These patterns are unmistakable in this current issue on STDs.
In 1972, PBS aired a great hour long documentary called “VD Blues”, hosted by Dick Cavett. It included comic-style sketches by comedian James Coco and others. The show featured the Shel Silverstein song “Don’t Give a Dose” performed by Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show.
Though impossible to find today, at the time it did a lot to stem the huge wave of VD infections caused by Hippies, that had spread to many middle class and poor people.

I suspect that many people will look at the "41.6%" figure for "Men who have sex with men only" portion of that chart, without considering that only 5% or 6% of males are homosexual. That 5-6% is responsible for almost half the syphilis cases for ALL men.

I was friends for a time with a homosexual guy - JUST FRIENDS, OKAY??? After we had been hanging out for a while, he chose to reveal that he had stopped going for treatment for his syphilis. He lived with a guy who had some money - his cessation of going for routine treatment that would have cured his pox was due to laziness only.
If that adds anything to the equation. I think he told me that stuff because he wanted to scare me - that is, to see if I would go running to the clinic on the off chance that I had been exposed to “it.”
The moral of the story - WAIT!!! THERE IS ONE!!! - is that even if you are just casual friends with a gaywad, or even if you are someone who is nice to a gaywad, they will use it to mess with you anyway, just because. At least today they’re more open about it so you can make a more informed decision whether to let them into the house or not.
One guy I knew a long time ago explained after having experienced college law and social issues courses: Once a formerly oppressed identity group has become a bit more free, the absolute NEXT thing they start to think of is that they want to oppress people, too!
