In my last reply I also mentioned the catastrophic results of Napoleon’s attempt to invade Russia where his army was crushed. Somehow that was deleted.

Napoleon’s invasion of Russia went quite well for Napoleon. He defeated the Russian army and took Moscow and then he waited for the Czar to seek terms. Instead the Czar burned Moscow to the ground, killing G*d knows how many Russians but he did force Napoleon to make a terrible winter retreat. That Czar was one ruthless bastard.
