Given that a) the crash occured between Avenal and Coalinga and b) he didn’t have a license (not even a revoked one) and c) no news reports mention his ethnicity or name but describe the vehicles in detail - make, model, year, and even color and d) describe in detail what the VEHICLES did, I’d say you’re guess is spot on.

And how many of these deaths are alcohol related as opposed to failure to enforce basic traffic laws? In my area of NY, LEO no longer performs routine traffic enforcement so as to avoid potentially deadly encounters (the directive came from the state attorney general). As a result, traffic lights and stop signs are mere suggestions, and speed limits are voluntary.
Its not alcohol.
Its driving while covaxed.
Cripes people can’t even keep in their lanes anymore. Then you get the covax nuts who now stop like 20 feet from the intersection if they are the first car, or 20 feet from the car in front of them. People are having basic fundamental driving problems and its the covaxxed folks being impaired.
It also seems like false positives would be a problem.
Can't start your car because you rinsed with mouthwash after you brushed your teeth before you left the house? Used hand sanitizer? Oops. Sucks to be you. Guess you're gonna be late to work.
There's even some medical conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, hiatal hernia and heartburn can lead to false results on an alcohol breath test.
I haven’t seen so much blatant disregard of traffic laws since I used to drive in Mexico. Hardly ever see anyone pulled over (Tucson area).
