“Breitbart News recently reported on a Canadian Tesla owner who was locked out of his car unless he paid $26,000 for a new battery.”

The truth. BB reported a lie.

Fuel cells are a much better alternative. I have even heard of fuel cells that use gasoline and even urea to power the vehicle.

Anyone who knows what I mean by the phrase “typical German engineer” will derive some pleasure from this predicament they’ve gotten themselves into.

Batteries suck big time. It would be so easy to get stuck with a POS rated 200 mile range vehicle. Weather, Hills, so many things impact your range and you may not be able to recharge. They also add 30% to your weight, in cold weather they have to heat themselves loosing 60%+ of their range.

They spend almost as much energy fighting against themselves as they do propelling the passengers.

Batteries are such a terrible idea.

"Bloomberg reports that Markus Heyn, the head of mobility services for Bosch, has warned the electric vehicle industry over its overreliance on a single fuel source — battery cells — as Europe’s energy crisis worsens."

Stating the obvious is only meaningful to those with common sense.

Breitbart News recently reported on a Canadian Tesla owner who was locked out of his car unless he paid $26,000 for a new battery.

What is the signal to other passing cars that the battery is dead? What do you say to the driver walking down the road to get a tank of electricity? How much does an emergency battery charge cost and how long does that take? Is a tow cheaper?

“...warned the electric vehicle industry over its overreliance on a single fuel source — battery cells”

Batteries are not a fuel source.

Everyone in the market knows this.

The point isn’t, not had it ever been, for everyone to have access to a car.

Everyone KNOWS there isn’t enough electricity. Everyone knows there aren’t enough batteries. The point is that only elites will have them.

This is why the major auto manufactures all face their doom if they switch to electric. 99% of their buyers are going to dry up.

Translation, not enough battery technology and a shortage of Lithium to make all those batteries needed. That means we all have to go back to Afghanistan, take it over and start building the infrastructure to get to all the ores that area there in those mountains.

Awww, so sad, NOT!
Makes even my 10 MPG ICE truck a bargain in comparison.
And my 30 MPG classic MG probably just doubled in value.

A recent review of the F150 Lightning showed the towing range VS a Standard F150 Diesel. The trailer was pretty close to max weight rating.

The F150 Lighting only towed the trailer the equivalent of 4 gallons of Diesel fuel.

It’s completely impossible to use an EV to towing.

Of course. Bosch is a major player in the fuel cell business.
