WW3 fears as Putin prepares to go all in on Ukraine: Russia paves the way for conscription and scrambles to annex Ukrainian territories, warning the West 'all forces' will be used to defend them

Vladimir Putin appeared poised to go all-in on his war in Ukraine today, sparking fears of an escalation in fighting that could drag in NATO and spark World War Three.

In a day of rapid-fire developments, Kremlin stooges in Ukraine's Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions simultaneously announced referendums on becoming part of Russia between September 23 and 27, with the sham votes expected to easily pass.

Dmitry Medvedev, a staunch Putin ally, then vowed 'all forces of self-defence' will be used to protect what he called 'Russian territory' - teeing up a new phase in the conflict involving weapons and tactics the Kremlin has so-far held in reserve.

Underlining that point, Moscow's rubber-stamp parliament passed new laws paving the war for Putin to end his 'special military operation' and officially declare a war, allowing him to mobilise Russia's massive population into the army.

It comes after Ukraine humiliatingly routed Putin's forces to the east of Kharkiv and recaptured a swathe of territory, with the despot's allies, propagandists and political hardliners calling for an escalation amid calls for the president to resign.

Putin was said to be preparing an address to the nation tonight, Russia's national broadcaster reported, without giving any further details.

And who says they aren’t communists anymore?
They legalize their crimes just like our leftists at home.

“God damn you to hell for continuing to push this war...”

The only one pushing the war is your buddy Putin, comrade.

territory that was traditionally Russian and that has mostly ethnic Russian population

That's like saying Arizona or Texas are "traditionally Mexican".

The only reason there are a lot of Russians on Ukrainian territory is because of the invasion of Russians during the Communist wars and Stalin's genocides.

Right now Russian sympathizers and colonizers are heading home to Russia from Ukraine. Even the Russian speaking people who have suffered the violence of Russian occupation are glad the Russians are being driven out.

Moscow’s local allies were told ‘Russia is here for ever’. Now they flee Ukraine

Ukraine has lost almost all of its prewar combat vehicle and aircraft assets.

No problem, Russia just donated them a large number of AFVs in the Kherson region.

“As to Russia, now, same thing, we never HAD to fight them - we CHOSE to fight them.”

You know zilch about history. An aggressor is forever hungry, and needs feeding. And they don’t stop until they are so sated they become obese, and lazy, and start to decay; or they are defeated and destroyed. Bullies haven’t changed; they are so very predictable.

So, is it your preference that victims just accept the aggression, and hope the aggressor tires?

“After all that is destroyed, presumably, we will see an influx of U.S. Humvees and NATO tanks.”

Now you’re starting to get the picture. Russia is also losing great numbers of equipment, except they have nobody to give them replacements. So as time goes by, the Russian army degrades and the Ukraine army is upgraded. That’s not a very good situation for Russia to put herself in.

You talk like an idiot propagandist.

Patton’s words about Russia were “meaningless”?

Even you surpassed yourself with that delusion.

My position doesn’t matter - Russia drew a red line with Ukraine, we crossed it - it was our choice.

Nonsense! Putin planned eventually to invade Ukraine no matter what we did since he has alway considered Ukraine as a part of Russia. He was only looking for an opportunity. The excuses that he has given are only that: excuses.

“You know zilch about history. An aggressor is forever hungry, and needs feeding.”

We can see that with the expansion of NATO and the attempts to encircle Russia with NATO bases, and now Taiwan. Hopefully there will be lessons learned.

Russia dont need no one to give them replacements, Sir.
Russia has a fully functioning industrial complex to pump whatever they need out unlike the EU/NATO/UK/and the US which have been deindustrialized.

When your F-35s, F-16s, and B-1s have Chinese part in them, speaks volumes, huh?

When your Javelin stockpiles, as well as HIMAR rounds, etc. take years to replace, speaks volumes huh? The US and EU/NATO/UK have reached levels in their military hardware inventories that are unsustainable.

Russia doing fine and we are not even remotely invoking the Chinese industrial base.......

“Tell your Brandon/Soros to leave Ukraine.”

LOL. At least Brandon and Soros, if they’re in Ukraine at all, are there BY KYIV’S INVITATION. Russia’s presence in Ukraine is solely at the invitation of its own implanted stooges.

Most of them are non-Ukrainian Russian speaking nationals on holiday (across Donbas and Kherson the separatist leadership includes four Russian nationals who came in with the green men, one Transnistrian, two Moldovans and a guy from Crimea whose actual nationality is a complete mystery).

One leading dim bulb in the separatist ranks successfully ran a PONZI scam until it got busted and has absolutely no other notable achievements in his life. He’s a fraudster and a crook, nothing more.

Another is a pro-Russian hack who ran twice for office in a pro-Russian region, and never got more than 5 percent of the vote even amongst the Moscow-leaning population. The turnout in the second election he stood in was one of the lowest in the history of the province and he STILL came last. Taking that into consideration, the only people who voted for him were himself and his mom.

Enforced Russian hostile takeover with an iron fist is a childish fantasy in the vodka-soaked heads of the Moscow Muppetry.

Reality bites. In the last week, in formerly Russian held, Russian populated areas:

- The separatist conscript groups went on strike with over 300 surrendering in one go
- The Kadyrovites and the Wagners fell out big time over who got to keep the loot
- The TikTok batallion got busted while lounging around in a wood, doing nothing
- Dozens of minor officials linked to the running of DPR/LPR militias fled into Russia
- Russian settlers (imported people offered free loot and squatters’ rights by the separatists) went home
- A Russian-held village welcomed the Ukrainian army in as liberators. Population: Russian Ukrainian.
- Russia’s response to the above? How very dare you switch sides, here’s some shiny white phosphorus. That’s not exactly from a chapter of “How to win friends and influence people”.

Russia hasn’t just burned its bridges with Ukrainian Ukes, it’s fast losing the support of the Russian Ukrainian population because they’re acting like toddlers having tantrums.

If you can’t work out why Russian Ukrainians don’t like white phosphorus showers, don’t like the Chechens, don’t like Wagner, don’t like their menfolk being forced into uniform, and sure as hell don’t like even ONE of the scumbags that Moscow put in charge of occupied areas, then of course you’re going to think these referenda are going to go Russia’s way.

Sportsman’s bet: these referenda get delayed due to unavoidable logistical complications, e.g. no way to organise them in just 3 days, no way to reach the voters, no legitimacy, and the sheer risk of the oppressed people actually FINALLY getting to register their opinion of the separatist administrations that Russia has inflicted on them.

Some here hated Russia long before what’s happening in Ukraine. I suspect some have lived abroad and or their families or both so have a history of bitterness from decades ago. So that’s the lens they’re looking thru and why they can’t see the reality of todays parties fighting in this conflict.......and they didn’t in the other Ukraine conflicts either. Zelensky and his cohorts will do anything to get Nato to go full boar in this conflict - Zelensky begged for that from the beginning. They have known they can’t win this alone and they still know it. They will never be happy until the worlds soldiers are fully engaged in their war.

” I guess rape victims are also responsible for being raped”

If they’re in a dangerous neighborhood, and wear a shirt that reads “please rape me”, they technically STILL do not deserve to be raped, but they shouldn’t be surprised if they do get raped.

Hahahahaha. Keep swallowing that Kremlin propaganda, but it won’t change the reality of the situation Russia is facing.
