REPUBLICAN SENATORS SIGNAL SUPPORT FOR $12 BILLION UKRAINE AID

Washington (CNN) Republican senators signaled tentative support for additional Ukraine aid that the Biden administration has requested following a classified briefing on Monday night, though senators are expected to nix other top White House priorities from the upcoming stop-gap bill to keep the government open.

The Biden administration has asked for $12 billion in aid to Ukraine to be added to the continuing resolution that's needed to keep the government open past September 30.

GOP support is essential because at least 10 Republican votes would be needed to break a filibuster attempt.

Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn said Monday evening that negotiators are still discussing the makeup of a package for Ukraine, but that it would be about $11 billion which could include humanitarian, economic and military assistance.

Sen. Mike Rounds, a Republican from South Dakota and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he is "open for the discussion" about adding $12 billion in additional Ukraine aid to the continuing resolution, while GOP Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, another member of the panel, said he believes the aid shouldn't be tied to it.

This BS needs to stop. I wish there was a way where we could stop the tax flow to the centralized beast.

Couldn’t get $5 billion for a wall to protect the US... But it’s easy to get $12 billion for some unknown country

I’m guessing it’s $10 billion and the extra $2 billion is for kick backs

It is disgusting, like most RINOs they are afraid if Ukraine loses the war they don’t want to be blamed for cutting off funding, the argument will be, if Republicans had not blocked additional funding Ukraine would have won the war.

I have said for some time now, I don’t believe any of the propaganda coming out of this war, until Russia completely withdraws their forces because they have lost or Ukraine agrees to a deal giving Russia control of parts of Southern and Eastern Ukraine, we don’t fully know what is happening.

But in the end the government doesn’t need your taxes.
They can just print more money; more than you or I could ever make.
The Matrix has you.

Blatantly obvious and simple to understand. Follow the money.

U.S. military contractors will be receiving 90% of those funds.

Our politicians on both sides are personally heavily invested in the Military Industrial Complex.

“Follow the money.”

Yep, beat me to it. We give it to Ukraine, Ukraine then buys war product from those like Liz Cheney and other politicians personally invested in the MIC.

One of the many reasons we call the GOP Senate, The Stupid Party.
At least the House seems to be listening to voters a bit more.

REPUBLICAN SENATORS SIGNAL SUPPORT FOR $12 BILLION UKRAINE AID

It's the latest "money laundering" scheme being suggested by the "inside the beltway" gang.

Those supporting it are the same ones who will get the monetary kickbacks.
