A new NBC News poll shows Donald Trump's favorability rating as 34 percent.
Meanwhile President Joe Biden's job approval rating ticked up to 45 percent.
Donald Trump's approval rating has sunk to its lowest point since April 2021, a new poll suggests on Sunday, just days after the ex-president announced two new campaign events for candidates he's endorsed in the midterms.
The tides appear to be shifting there too, the NBC News survey suggests, with Republicans and Democrats now deadlocked in Congressional preferences after months of GOP dominance.
Trump is fresh off of one of his signature Make America Great Again rallies on Saturday night. He was in Youngstown, Ohio to stump for Senate candidate JD Vance as well as three hopefuls for the House of Representatives.
But Sunday's NBC News poll suggests that his appeal may be fading across the country, even despite a recent boost in support seen in other surveys since the FBI's Mar-a-Lago raid.
Thirty-four percent of respondents said they view Trump positively, while 54 percent said the opposite.
In a nod to his divisive nature, the two largest shares of voters said they view him 'very' negatively and 'very' positively at 46 and 20 percent, respectively.
It comes on the heels of the former president announcing two more rallies in the next two weeks, signaling an uptick in his campaign appearances.

Did he use an executive order, to change her name? 🤪😆😩
Hey, why not? Trump fans don’t care and Trump haters aren’t smart enough to see what he is even talking about. I like that Trump can say what he wants. He is not going to convince anyone pro or con after these last 6 years.
Here’s my own informal, unscientific poll. On my personal Facebook page, I posted a Rumble advertisement for President Trump’s last speech (Youngstown, OH). I have about 250 Facebook contacts. My facebook contacts are from Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and California. My post about President Trumps speech received zero “likes’. zero. My average post about non political things gets from 10 to 15 likes.
I don’t think President Trump can be reelected. He is just too unpopular among those who watch television. The unrelenting negative press and the DOJ and FBI actions against Trump and his allies are having an effect.
I pay no attention to polls. They’re fixed.
1000 registered voters (750 were cell phone polled)
40% Dems/ 40% Republicans/12% Independent and 8% liars who don’t know what they are.
Make of that what you will.
In my best Cumala Harris imitation: Lyin liars gotta lie when they’re lyin.
NBC News poll. All their stories are anti Trump. These idiots cant lie their way enough..
I agree. Half the voters will not vote for Trump and he can’t change their minds at this point.
They are so deranged that they approve of Biden for the sole reason that he isn’t Trump.
Great post!
People still watch NBC?
/\
What’s an NBC ?
Maybe their respondents want 8 .5 inflation and open borders or is that they want high taxes and gas at $4.00 who knows but we can trust nbc right?
There seems to be at least as many maniacally anti-Trump voters as the number of maniacally pro-Trump voters. It is a turn-out game and hatred is a great motivator. It is a mistake to think Trump would easily walk away with a giant win if we just keep cheating to a respectable level.
We have to be honest and admit, nothing has driven Dems to the polls in recent years more than hatred for Trump. And NOT just Dems, plenty of R voters too. Trump has made a career out of burning bridges and making enemies within the R party. Which is fine in the long run. But it is another factor not likely to change before 24.
Love him or hate him, Trump is destroyer. That is his best role. And I'm fine with that. He destroyed the the rotten American royalty, the dynasties on both side of the aisle. He destroyed some of the bad agreements like Paris Treaty, etc. He destroyed the notion that we should pay for everything for NATO, others. The destruction is good. But it does clearly motivate both the demonic Dems and the butt-hurt Republicans.
It will take time, if ever, to school a new generation of kids not poisoned by BigEducation and BigGovt in general before any Dems are going to convert to common sense. But Trump-hating R voters will come back when he is gone.
Hopefully, the R party will learn the positive lessons of Trumpism - basically, that fighting evil works better than compromising with it and that it's OK to love America and the American ideal. Yet somehow get the Trump-or-die voters (back) to emphasizing principles over personalities. The silly idea that if Trump loses America is toast is harmful, wussy thinking. He's just a man. One with both awesome qualities and huge flaws.
I'm not at the unhealthy worship level of some Trump fans. I'd prefer someone more predictably principled. but I'll have no problem voting for The Don again. If he is the R nominee.
I have 3000 friends on Facebook from all over the Country & when I put up a Trump Post I get a couple of hundred likes and 30-40 shares.
I know of zero 2020 Trump supporters who have anything less than 100% support for him
Did not look like President Trump was lacking any popularity Saturday in Ohio.
I used to manage the service survey process for a National company. Whenever we had to tell local managers bad news about their staffs we heard every bullshit excuse known to man.
In the end we simply told them that customer perceptions were just perceptions. Don’t take them personally. But take them seriously. Because if the stuff they are saying was only said once, it wouldn’t be “significant.” So, if we were talking about it, it was happening and it needed to be addressed.
The managers who continued to bitch were usually not around for the third round of bad results (usually because they used similar tactics with the accountants.)
Unless the internals are published, respect no poll!
Dream on NBC.
