The Coming Outlawing of the Republican Party
Sultan Knish ^ | Daniel Greenfield

Posted on 09/18/2022 8:09:35 AM PDT by Chad C. Mulligan

Republicans want to hold the majority and co-exist with Democrats, while Democrats, under the influence of the Left, want to eliminate Republicans.

This fundamental difference between the two sides was on display during Biden’s fascist rant in Philadelphia where he denounced half the country as a threat to democracy.

And it would be a mistake to imagine that all the talk of a “threat to democracy” is mere rhetoric.

Another basic difference between the two parties is that Republicans are politically unserious. Politicians, pundits and influencers spend so much time virtue signaling that they think words don’t matter. Democrats are quite serious. The Republican refusal to take them at their word, to believe that their histrionic rhetoric represents a serious policy agenda, is why things are so bad.

Surely, Beltway GOP figures will reassure, Democrats aren’t serious about adding states, Supreme Court seats, a trillion dollar coin or using unlimited dictatorial executive authority.

But what if they are?

Biden’s speech was the tip of a much more dangerous iceberg.

After Biden took over, Democrat activist groups began a push to disqualify Republicans who had participated in the Jan 6 protests from elected office based on the 14th Amendment. Adopted after the Civil War, it’s mostly notable for abolishing slavery. But Section 3 also banned anyone from holding elected office if they have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” or “given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” Aimed at Confederates, most would have considered this a dead letter, but the Left excels at digging up obscure legal fossils and making use of them.

They are following the same script as did Venezuela.

But we are better armed.

Whatever happened to the Trillion Dollar Coin idea?

Now that the national debt has zoomed past 30 trillion, can’t we just make 30 of the trillion dollar coins and pay off the national debt???

sarcasm......

Predicted this a couple weeks back.

US puppet ZelenskyyIdiot Regime was the BidenIdiot testbed for such when the comedian banned ALL political opposition parties.

I would near argue that the BidenIdiot Regime is setting the stage for officially designating the MAGA Republicans as a terrorist organization, as well.

Tim Ryan in Ohio openly said that they have to “kill and confront MAGA”. If that’s not a call to violence, I don’t know what is. Yet, we have heard almost nothing about that.

Sadly I think half the people are falling for it.

We’re watching outright use of the DOJ against political opposition and we hear little in response.

The republican party will be marched off the cliff while the last republican standing acts embarrassed.

Face it they don’t have the will or the intelligence or the energy to stand up to this. They are the product of the same ridiculous leftist education and media.

IMO, Obama is a hidden major driving force toward treason and tyranny. If Obama had a third term, I can’t image it being much different that this one.

Don’t forget, Obama way radicalized the Left without flinching. Unlike many on the Left, Obama has no problem pushing a clearly anti-American agenda.

Like his first two terms, Obama is telling Biden what to do.

You’re not hearing it because Lindsey Graham was put on tv to talk about abortion.

While the new fascist Democrat party is marching.

The Section 3 campaign lost in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona, but it’s still alive.

Of course it is. That’s how they do it.Nothing they don’t want to die does.

Such talk is not considered a call to violence, if said by a Democrat. It’s only considered inciting violence if a Republican had said something similar.

If politics is war by other means, what happens when politics is no longer an option?

Republicans want to hold the majority

If only this were true of Republican leaders. Sigh. They love being in the minority, since it relives them of responsibility.

The author may be right about dems wanting to outlaw Republicans, but his argument is weakened by claiming the 14th Amendment is “...notable for abolishing slavery”. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery.

The 14th does lots of things, one of which was prohibiting the holding of public office for anyone who had sworn an oath to the Constitution and then fought for or held office in the Confederate States.

To the dems, the four-year long deadliest war in American history and the hours long trauma of people pretty much strolling through the Capitol are equivalent.

Do they? That’s been said many times, but is it true? I don’t think so. I think mostly they’re cowards. Faced with the proverbial knife fight, they hope to prevail with a smile and a handshake, because they don’t understand the other’s side’s all-consuming will to power. They could be strong if they wanted to, I.e. on Merrick Garland’s SCOTUS nomination, but overall it’s easier just to pretend to be tough and soak up the perks. The greater perks that go to the winners are nice, but it’s a lot of work to win those perks

Insurrection ain’t what it used to be. Now it amounts to impure political thoughts.

Massachusetts Governor Baker (R) couldn’t move fast enough while doing the bidding of the Martha’s Vineyard Democrats. A Democrat might have paused to worry about putting his fingerprints on the roundup of illegals there.
