During a portion of an interview with CBS aired on Wednesday’s edition of “CBS Evening News,” Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen declined to say that inflation is near its peak and stated she doesn’t want to insert herself into forecasting things on a month-by-month basis, but she thinks it will “come down over time due to the actions” that are being taken by the Federal Reserve and that she hopes “to see substantial improvement over the coming year.”
Yellen said, “Inflation remains a problem. It obviously is of tremendous concern to Americans.”

Wait a minute — what about that budget busting “inflation” law that the White House was celebrating? Where is that in the mix?

The central bankers are done with the cheap money era.
They’re also done playing “patty cake” with politicians, the media, and voters who want more gibbedats.

Janet Yellen is one of the most unimpressive national economic figures I’ve ever heard speak. All she does is deliver spin and when the spin isn’t enough she switches to damage control. Nothing meaningful is ever said by her.
OTOH we are so fortunate that Janet Yellen has got it all figured out visa vis wind and solar energy and hsit like that. /S
