Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) said Tuesday that he plans to announce a reelection bid for 2024.
The senator confirmed his plans to Cleveland.com, but declined to elaborate further.
There is a longer answer, but that’s my point,” Brown said, according to Cleveland.com. “I haven’t formally announced, but I plan to.”
Democratic strategists in recent months have pointed to Brown as a potential Democratic candidate for president in 2024 if President Biden does not seek another term. The president will turn 80 in November, and questions have swirled about his fitness to lead after a succession of harsh policy losses and soaring inflation.

I live in Ohio. Sherod has been a fixture in DC for ages, but the I know nothing about him. The only time I ever hear a peep out of him is election time.
Who is this guy and why does he deserve to be president?
I will leave Ohio if Ryan and Brown are Senators here. Not gonna earn one dime to support the state that wants to Kill or Confront me.
Career parasite. Won a seat in the state legislature right after college in 1974, where he made his bones as a McGovernite volunteer. Has never left the public trough in all theses years since. He claims to be “an educator” but that is based on teaching a couple college courses at a minuscule branch campus of OSU while in the statehouse.
He has been a total nonentity, but somehow just never offensive enough for the state population to look at him closely. Plus, he has been blessed with weak opponents from a compliant state GOP.
he’s a leftist and is in favor of what that mafia wants. gun control, abortion, censorship, whatever it takes for him to retain his power. I’ve reached out to him before about various state issues. He’s intractable and does not respond well to statistics and logic.

I responded to one of his emails once about immigration. We went back and forth until he finally said, “lets grant amnesty first, then we can talk about how high the wall will be and how many border patrol agents we need.” I told him to go F himself.
