Negotiations Russia "does not reject" negotiations with Ukraine, but there are some "delays that complicate the process" of negotiations.
This was said by Foreign Minister Serghei Lavrov quoted by Tass.
In an interview with Rossiya-1 television, Lavrov reported that Vladimir Putin convened a meeting with the Duma, the lower house of parliament, and leaders of the different factions. "The president told the participants that we do not reject negotiations," Lavrov stressed, but he accused the Ukrainians of delaying the process of negotiations. Kiev, Putin said again according to Lavrov's account, "should understand that the longer it delays the process, the more difficult it will be to negotiate with us."..

An armistice would stop the killing.
It is easier to achieve as no side has to give up any right or claim.
Better idea would have been for Russia to declare an armistice 30 seconds into the invasion. Nobody dies, and no land changes hand. Seems like that would have been much more fair.
Ukraine loses most of its seacoast, from Mikolaiev to Mariupol. Thats a crippling and long term blow economically.
Status quo ante bellum might be acceptable, but that means the Russians have to leave a lot of territory.

Yeah, but then the Uke Nazis will resume their 8 year artillery attacks on the Donbass areas that went independent.
They lost that coast after the 2014 coup decided to conduct ethnic cleansing and artillery attacks for 8 years against the Donbass. They really needed to get the Svoboda militias out of Kiev though. The last thing you need is a thug militia standing around watching you.
So now that coast is gone... forever.

That would leave Crimea as part of Russia. I don’t like it, because it rewards Russian aggression (which began back in 2014), but it may be the eventual outcome.
