CNN anchor Chris Wallace said Friday on “New Day” that President Joe Biden mocking Republicans at a DNC event Thursday night is an example of “what a good retail politician” he is.
Biden said, “We also passed a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s roads, highways, bridges, railroads, ports, airports, water system, high-speed Internet. We got a little help from Republicans, but not a lot, but enough to get it passed. But the truth is, there were a lot more Republicans taking credit for that bill than we actually voted for it. I see them out there. ‘And now we’re going to build this new bridge here. We’re all for it. And by the way, there’s new road. We’re going to have an internet that’s going to be all the way.’ I love ’em, man. They ain’t got no shame.”

What’s a “retail politician”? Someone who appeals to the poorly informed average voter? What a great way to turn the county into Venezuela, to elect so-called leaders who make gimmedat promises.
And so what is a wholesale politician? One who accepts his/her standard level of graft and doesn’t cause too much trouble?
Nah, more like a “snake-oil salesman”.

“Good”, “retail”, and “politician” are not terms that should be used in any way to describe Joe Biden. He is a very bad, wholesale charlatan, given over to excessive hyperbole, and operating without facts or even much coherence.
And the crowd that cheers him on is without even those few qualities, as they lack even a vestige of any personal morality or judgment, swept up in a kind of mob excitement.
Raw emotion is no way to run a country. This was a street corner harangue, a scolding tirade, by a fool on a soapbox.

Why did the DNC ever agree to having this partisan moron as a presidential debate moderator? In the last 2016 debate, he asked Trump if he lost, would he challenge the election. He didn’t ask Clinton the same question.
