(AFP) — Ukraine on Thursday claimed a military breakthrough in its counter-offensive against Russian invaders as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on a surprise visit to Kyiv, unveiled another $2.8 billion in military aid.
Ukraine said its forces made gains in the north, the south and the east, prying back land seized by Russia which had hoped for a swift victory when it attacked nearly seven months ago.

The political class and the military industrial complex are getting even wealthier as they take their cut of this “aid”.
Meanwhile, the media is silent, and the sheeple slumber.
“Putin, Humiliated and on the Verge of Death in Just Days!
Tapping His Feet Maniacally!”
- Daily Mail & Zeepers everywhere
Boy, with all of these breakthroughs Russia must be ready to surrender. No need for more money to Ukraine, then.

Military Breakthrough is Z-man’s code for “the check cleared”
This crap optimism is just to get more money from the US. We need to stop. We are spending more on Ukraine than the Iraq war.
Yes we can send them weapons so both sides can turn Ukraine into Dresden. But then what do we have. A toxic war zone. And rich US military vendors.
This is not productive.
I expect there is at least some truth to the reports of successes in the Kharkiv Oblast. If so, then there appears to have been a rather effective deception campaign put out about the focus on Kherson. It’s an unexpected answer to the question of why the Ukrainians apparently were telegraphing their attack on Kherson in advance.

What’s not productive is the US projecting weakness. That’s what makes hot wars like this one. What is productive is kicking Russia’s influence and corruption out of Europe. That will bring massive economic benefits to the US that President Trump will manage properly in his 2nd term.
Dammit....
I’m sure it’s a coincidence that the Ukraine is “winning” when it gets more
money from Americans.
If we send billions and billions to the Ukraine....aren’t we then actually at war with Russia?
Don’t worry Ukraine. The racist hoe prime minister wants British troops on the ground fighting Russia. Soon to be followed by American troops, most likely.
The question is: “at what cost?”. Both materially and financially. Mercouris says Ukraine is suffering huge losses, this could turn out to be a pyrrhic victory.
This video from a YouTube channel —Tribune Timur— shows a Ukrainian vehicle crossing stream in the offensive getting slammed by a Russian artillery piece (from what I can make out), which supposedly they have about 5-1 advantage in.
Warning, a bit distressing…wish they could reach a peace settlement and end this bloodshed.

And human costs as well of course..goes without saying.
