Video sharing platform Rumble has broken records in August, increasing monthly active users to 78 million. This, the platform reports, is a 77 percent year over year growth. Much of that growth came from Gen Z users, between the ages of 18-24.
That growth was strong in the US and Canada, as well, with a 63 million increase, or a 103 percent year over year growth.
“When you look at the data, and especially our 63 million MAUs in the US and Canada, it is clear to me that Rumble’s growth is one of the reasons that Big Tech platforms have stagnated,” said Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski.
“In recent years, our user growth came primarily from consumers of news and political content. As new content creators come to Rumble, we are seeing growth from the Gen Z demographic, a massive new audience for our platform.”
Rumble went public in December 2021. A Canadian company, Rumble merged with CF Acquisition Corp VI (CFVI.O) with an initial enterprise value of $2.1 billion. Donald Trump joined the platform in June 2021.
Rumble describes itself as a “high-growth neutral video platform that is creating the rails and independent infrastructure designed to be immune to cancel culture. Rumble’s mission is to restore the Internet to its roots by making it free and open once again.”
Umm, my point is that the roadblocks he faces were inevitable given his stated aim. He didn’t just begin this on a lark.
And trying to uncensor Twatt was well neigh an impossible task even for him when you consider all the VERY powerful forces who don’t want Twatt uncensored.
>> I don’t give a crap about what people between 18-34 years old think
I do
YouTube gave nick Ricketa a 2-week suspension on streaming, and you can tell the guy loves that he does not have to self-censer his content on rumble. if YouTube was not so profitable, I think he would Quit YouTube and just do rumble.
How does this story square with this one:
https://finance.yahoo.com/m/0699414f-0ab1-3f25-a13a-e5700b01310b/why-cf-acquisition-corp-vi.html
“pecial purpose acquisition company (SPAC) CF Acquisition Corporation VI (NASDAQ: CFVI), which if all goes according to plan will be the vehicle bringing video site Rumble public, can certainly attest to that. “
What is CFVI.O compared to CFVI ??
Some of them vote.
Yes. They have their own servers, their own software, everything. Peter Thiel backed them early on and they were designed from the start to not be dependent on Big Tech for anything.
They merged with Dave Rubin’s Locals a while back which was started with the same ethos in mind. Rumble/Locals also helped GiveSendGo when Leftists were trying to attack it during the Canadian Trucker protest. They’re one of the good guys.
This is a problem. Canada doesn't have a First Amendment and routinely shuts down websites they don't like.
I should add, Truth Social also uses the Rumble Cloud and is supported on the back end by Rumble.
They are at the tip of the spear in terms of building the free internet....ie Rumble/Locals, Gab, Truth Social, GiveSendGo, the Brave Browser and search engine, Signal, Telegram, etc.
We need more like these alternatives to Leftist controlled Big Tech. The good needs is all of the above are growing rapidly.
Rumble recently moved their HQ to the Free State of Florida.
If it is a bad business deal falsely represented at the outset, it is a roadblock.
Doesn’t take a genius to devise a viable poison pill.
Right, I watch youtube on my tv through AndroidTV and it is have a very nice interface and is easy to search and watch all sorts of content. Rumble androidtv app is complete garbage. They must do better.
Nope.
A roadblock stops Musk from taking over Twitter.
There is no roadblock when Twitter is working hard to force Musk to buy them.
Stop gaslighting with illogical nonsense will ya?
Yours is a foolish illogical ‘point’ at best.
You do recall that Twatt did Not want Elon to take over, right?
The false business deal presented was/is an effective roadblock.
Or are you suggesting that nothing is blocking him just because he can enter into this deal regardless of it’s ramifications?
This very good news.
BTTT
Exactly like most hostile takeovers through the history of the stock markets. And this was a hostile takeover.
Nothing new about that.
The false business deal presented was/is an effective roadblock.
Nope.
Again Twitter is SUING Musk to force Musk to buy Twitter. I don't call that a roadblock.
I call that “Come into my bedroom and sleep with me” invitation. As does everyone else who is sane and can actually read.
Or are you suggesting that nothing is blocking him just because he can enter into this deal regardless of it's ramifications?
Again, nothing is blocking Musk from taking over Twitter TODAY if he wants to.
Musk is being sued in court to FORCE him to buy Twitter.
Can you understand that at all?
“Musk is being sued in court to FORCE him to buy Twitter.”
Equivalent to a home seller suing a potential home buyer for refusing to do so after a home inspection reveals a false representation about a leaking roof and a faulty foundation.
Not saying whether his claims are true or not, but they are a roadblock.
Or do you think that an incredibly successful businessman should just say “Oh well, what the hell.”?
Can you understand that at all ?
Nope,
Musk actually spent BILLIONS of dollars to buy 9% of Twitter before he made his bid.
The “home buyer” you are talking about hasn't spent anything yet on the property, let alone billions of bollars.
Not saying whether his claims are true or not, but they are a roadblock
Nope.
So Musk is putting a “roadblock” aginst himself? Hows that?
Or do you think that an incredibly successful businessman should just say “Oh well, what the hell.”?
He could have done more due diligence before making his bid, but there is ZERO roadblocks stopping him from buying Twitter today if he wants to.
Its up to the courts.
Since you acknowledge this as a hostile takeover, I assume you’ve heard of poison pills, yet you refuse to acknowledge same.
The fact that Musk has invested in Twatt does not mean that he and thousands of others have not been sold by false representation.
You may argue about his possible lack of due diligence but that is a red herring as this intense scrutiny is only available in a very big transaction when all details must be revealed.
