You may argue about his possible lack of due diligence but that is a red herring as this intense scrutiny is only available in a very big transaction when all details must be revealed.

Twitter only started talking about poison pills AFTER Musk had made his bid. That's not how it works.
And, it was always a hostile bid from the get go. Musk bought 9% of Twitter without their knowledge before he made his bid.

You are talking about a $44 Billion deal here from one individual. That's a lot of money.
