Living conditions in 90% of the world's countries deteriorated in 2021, according to the UN Development Programme (UNDP).
The UNDP's Human Development Index measures a country's health, education and standard of living.
The index has declined globally for two years in a row since the first time it was calculated 32 years ago. The UNDP's report said that this erased "the gains of the past five years."
UNDP chief Achim Steiner said that even at the height of the last global recession which broke out in 2007, the index declined in only around one in ten countries.
The combined effects of climate change, the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic have created an "uncertainty complex" exerting downward pressure on global living standards, the report said.

"COVID19 pandemic"? The economic impact is from bad government decisions from over-reacting.
"war in Ukraine"? I recognize that this has had an economic impact, but, again, it's mostly from government sanctions as much as anything else.
The political "elite" are screwing everything up.
The Great Reset is designed to equalize misery worldwide. Expect energy costs to soar and hunger to evolve into famine, The Democrats are squarely behind it, when the fascists take absolute power, it will be too late to turn the tide.
And expect the UN to stop all reporting on standard of living deterioration because it conflicts with the narrative. All negative news about the Great Reset will disappear.
The Bible has always viewed a worldwide government (globalists) as demonic in nature. The idea of sovereign territories looking after their own self interests seems to be the best (and if appropriate sending aid to peoples/countries and individuals).
The “you will have nothing” part of the plan is working. Then you will be happy with your half of a rotting turnip... or else you won’t get anything to eat at all.
