He has been wishy washy. Has not made the stand that we should get rid of the min wage. Political suicide.

If there was not a minimum wage all sorts of jobs would still exist like doormen.

In addition to its effect on inflation, rising wages only encourage a company to cut back or automate and replace workers.

And of course it will similarly be indexed to deflation and disinflation, right? /sarc

Someone needs to explain to them about feedback loops.

you do understand that raising the minimum wage affects everyone’s wages right?

If you are a mid-level experienced guy at a company and suddenly the minimum wage is raised to your salary or above, you are going to demand a raise to earn more than the starting guy, same with management. Those who’s jobs require experience, or costly education or are hard to master will always demand to earn more (rightfully) than the lowest least qualified, least experienced employees.

I always think it’s funny that people argue that the cost of labor doesn’t affect prices... and yet the fed controls the ENTIRE ECONOMY by simply raising or lowering interest rates on loans! Which is a TINY fraction of nearly any businesses expenses compared to labor

Yes I do, it called wage compression.

But again, min wage is here to stay. Deal with it.

The article has reference to the minimum wage.

A rising tide raises all boats

Therefore, all wages will be forced to rise until the market can no longer support the existence of businesses and any wages

This is a good thing. Takes this divisive issue off the table.

yes lets put inflation on auto-pilot

so we can have a non-divisive crash landing

I’m going to ask you again to go away.

I really don’t like talking with leftists. They’re full of crap, they’re nowhere near as clever as they think they are and they’re driven by hate and anger. Go peddle your leftist views elsewhere, please.

Sniffer says there is no inflation. No foul, no harm. I'll bet there will be tremendous inflation in 2025.

TALENTED PEOPLE WITH PROVEN EXPERIENCE will always get top wages.

The biggest problem is telling a business owner how much HE has to pay for a lazy, uneducated lout. ALL those costs MUST e passed onto the consumer at the end of the line.

Under 40’s are quite useless.

Drugs-—Freebies-—paid leave to have a ‘baby’-—NO ability to properly groom themselves for public contact-—I could go on & ON.

The recipients of all those “PARTICIPATION TROPHIES” now do NOT understand that a PAYCHECK isn’t a continuation of the participation trophies.

A paycheck means you must perform the labor/skills the employer needs....on time..to the EMPLOYER’S STANDARDS.

MY brother-—who built a company with 65 employees with only a high school education used to say:

“There isn’t 1 person in 100 who can sign the FRONT of the paycheck—but they all can sign the back”.

I need to tell him that in today’s world—that ratio is closer to 1 in 10,000.

Calif just unionized 560,000 Fast Food workers & are demanding a $22 an hour wage.

HOW much do you think your next trip to your favorite fast food location will cost you???
