Gay men will now be able to donate blood after equipment was purchased from abroad which can test blood.
The news was green during a press conference by the Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne and the Secretary for Reforms and Equality, Rebecca Buttigieg.
An amendment to the National Transfusion Service protocols has meant that gay man can now donate blood.
(snip)
Dr Fearne explained that now, the only criteria is that the person needs to have been in a stable sexual relationship with the same person for at least four months and explained that this restriction applies to any blood donor.

And then there's monkeypox....
Killing people to be politically correct.
Why in the hell would they do this? Madness.
How can they tell if you are gay when you donate blood?
They have a cabinet official named Buttigieg too. I wonder if Rebecca was her name at birth.
At least they are making it four months—the American Red Cross thinks three months is enough.
Booty-Gig’s father was born in Malta, FWIW

And they ARE an EU member, which exerts a certain amount of pressure to bow before their sodomite overlords.

Maybe if you start singing a song from a musical when you are jabbed?
They do have questions that are supposed to weed out the high risk donors but what is to prevent someone from lying? You have to hope the tests they run on the blood detect any blood that unsafe...but I doubt the tests can catch 100% of the cases.
They take drug addicts etc, I didn’t realize how nasty it is—I thought they were more particular. Maybe I’m getting taken for a ride but happened to watch this a couple of days ago and haven’t looked into it further.
Autologous blood donation is always a good idea for planned surgeries, but there is always the added expense of this process, which can be significant. You also have to be aware of the shelf life of donated blood, so it’s not a once-and-done proposition.
But most uses of donated blood are in the event of unexpected traumatic accidents or injuries. These cannot be anticipated, and you can never be sure that your supply of blood is readily at hand at the emergency facility you are taken to. They will just grab the first unit of blood matching your type that is available in nearly every case.
Having your own blood banked and on hand for such instances is completely unfeasible.
