Oz, the celebrity heart surgeon and Republican Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, ratcheted up suspicion about the health of his Democratic rival Tuesday, questioning whether John Fetterman’s recovery from a stroke explains his reluctance to debate.
“John Fetterman is either healthy and he’s dodging the debate because he does not want to answer for his radical left positions, or he’s too sick to participate in the debate,” Oz told reporters here at a news conference inside a cramped and partitioned hotel ballroom.
Oz would have preferred to spend the day after Labor Day — the traditional start of the fall general election campaign — preparing for his first televised clash with Fetterman in Pittsburgh. But Fetterman declined the invitation, citing lingering effects from his stroke, such as speech and auditory processing issues, and the Oz campaign’s earlier mocking of his health. So Oz instead found himself 300 miles away at a Courtyard by Marriott alongside Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., whose decision not to seek re-election opened the seat he and Fetterman are seeking.
Photographs of Oz, Toomey and Fetterman appearing at past debates served as props as both men argued that the Democratic nominee was ducking tough questions. Fetterman in recent weeks has appeared at several public events, including a Labor Day gathering with President Joe Biden (where Fetterman didn't speak), but outside of an MSNBC interview last week, he has taken few questions from reporters and has not committed to participate in any debates before the November general election.
“In addition to the character problem of being dishonest, if he’s really not able to debate, then there’s a big problem,” Toomey said, noting that Fetterman has offered optimistic accounts about his recovery.

Pennsylvanians might want to worry more about what happens if Fetterman and his co-conspirators execute their plan to release one third of the prison population.
At a Philadelphia news conference this morning, Sen. Pat Toomey alongside Dr. Oz says Fetterman "sits at home and does social media all day" while dodging debates.

I’m not positive bringing his stroke into the campaign is going to be effective. What I’ve seen getting the most traction is the ads where it’s pointed out that Fetterman has been the head of the parole board and dedicated to getting every last criminal out of the slam (this is a paraphrasing of his own, on camera, statement).
No mercy.
You have to hit him on everything. If Oz was not bringing up his health and refusing to debate, you would be putting him on blast for that.
Fetterman doesn’t want to debate because he knows the commie media is going to protect his ass regardless..if fetterman is in such bad health, he cant be expected to be in the senate for 6 yrs so he should drop out
He doesn’t need to go after his health, that just makes it easier for the media to spin it back as OZ is the bad guy. Attack his idiotic policies!!

Right. Fetterman had a stroke, can’t speak and has issues with cognitive processing. Those definitely sound like issues that may prevent him from being an effective senator. But the press spins it as mean old Dr. Oz “attacking” Fetterman and being “nasty.”
Liberals and their media allies were always attacking Trump’s “mental state”. Screw these whiners.
Oh I see, now it’s hostile when Oz points out the obvious. NBC and the rest of them are just sickening.
