In her run against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) has let her extremism on the issues really come out. This consistently been on abortion, which she has revealed as her most important issue, even when it comes to dismissing key issues like inflation. Audio obtained by Townhall reveals that Demings is doubling down on the issue, in this instance during a Hillsborough County Young Democrats Happy Hour last week.
"We can talk about a woman's right to choose," she told the crowd. "Let me stay here for a minute, let me just linger right here. When we think about the headlines of today, you know, we hear about inflation, and yeah, we need to work to bring the costs down, right? We hear about the prices of gas. Yeah, we need to work to bring the price of gas down. Thank God it's been going down for the last two months. We need to still get it down some more. We need to care about price gouging and market manipulation and all of those things. All those things are important," she said referring to what voters do consistently say are the top issues and their top concerns.
Deming made particularly telling remarks, though, when it comes to why it is that she acknowledges voters care about inflation and gas prices. "Because that's what my opponent says are important. Well, tell me, how does he have time to support taking away a woman's right to choose and a woman's right to privacy," she then continued by saying.

Val Demings is an ignorant buffoon......................IOW, a perfect Democrat...............
She loses by 10 points
Sounds like she’s a one-trick pony with nothing else in her repertoire. And, that if you don’t have a vagina, then you just don’t matter. Hard to see how she even gets close to winning unless the Scooby Cheat Van is all-in for her.
What the world has become. The thing that is keeping the rats from a wipe out is their advocacy for killing unborn children. Sigh.
How about the taxpayers’ right to decide whether their hard-earned money should be used to subsidize the killing of the unborn?
Gas prices have come down... because Biden released so much of our strategic oil reserves! Which are not there to help Ds win elections but in case we need them for military purposes!
And they haven’t come down that much. It cost me under $40 to fill my tank when Trump was president; it went up to over $80, and now it is down to $70. (I have a diesel car.)
I am so annoyed that Rs don’t come put hard saying stuff!!!! The issues that matter to voters should be front and center; there should be graphics showing what they are saying, and there should be graphics to back up what they are saying about solutions.
Everyone should know about what we know about the results of gender-affirming “health care,” because Abbot and the other governors of the states which have passed laws against it should have publicized those results. The legislators should have publicized this information while they were considering the legislation.
Every R running should be blasting the results of Bideon’s economic policies and should be reminding people that while prices may have improved sin the past couple of months, they are still very high, much higher than 19 months ago.
And the pro-life politicians should have pictures of unborn babies all over their websites and showing when they speak.
For here in Florida there is a factor that I am hoping is valid. Governor Ron DeSantis leads the ticket in his re-election campaign. With that, the old concept of ‘coat tails’ may actually come true in the GOP’s favor for once. I will crawl over broken glass to vote for him and every race on the ballot.
If someone (Nate Silver 538) says the ‘D’onkey Party will retain control of the US Senate, it will NOT BE WITH Val Demings replacing Marco Rubio. One significant thing that has changed since the 2016 election that Rubio won against Patrick Murphy by 6 points, the GOP registration has gone from trailing ‘D’s by 330k to LEADING by near 200k!
IIRC, the SPR oil got sold to other countries and had little to no effect on our costs. Anyone? Bueller?
π Keep it up.
I thought that was supposed to reduce world-wixe prices? And resulted in our prices going down a little?
Guess we need to carefully pick through the many lies.
She will lose 70/30 in South Florida 55/45 in Central Florida and 65/35 in the panhandle. As a the top of the ballot she will do major damage to down ballot rodents.
Christ will help bring down any down ballot rodents who might have survived Demings.
This is Florida. Save for a few Blacks and Washer Woman Schultz, every Democrat/communist here is in danger.
If Rubio had half a brain, he would point out that a women does have the right to choose. Currently she can have the baby or choose to go to another state to have an abortion. In the future she can choose to support and vote for pro abortion candidates. Should enough people agree with her, then abortion would be legal in Florida again. Thatβs how States Rights and elections work. Of course this leaves out the elephant in the room, that being her initial choice not to use protection while having sex.
