Mary Peltola’s win in the Alaska special election this week became the latest surprise to spark concern for Republicans as it appears that a once presumptive red wave in November is neither definite nor guaranteed.

Peltola, the first Alaska Native and first Democrat in decades to be elected to fill the state’s lone House seat, edged out two formidable Republican challengers on Wednesday, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), to serve the remainder of the late Rep. Don Young’s (R) term.

Palin’s eldest daughter is a successful Real Estate executive in Texas who has built her own business.

Palin’s middle daughter is married to a professional Rugby player and she has twin girls and lives in Alaska. She has a career as a beautician.

Palin’s youngest, Piper, got a nurses license and works at a beauticians outfit in Phoenix. She is also gainfully employed.

Except the politicians didn’t legalize. It was a ballot measure that won 53-47. Politicians love prohibition because it increases the ability to intrude in people’s lives and gives them access to all that black market $$$.

Don Young, the late Republican incumbent, won with 54.5%. If the Republicans won 60% of the vote this time, it looks like they outperformed. How is Republicans picking up 5 1/2 % in less than 2 years a "warning sign"?????

RINOs will always split the vote with the MAGA candidate in order for either the RINO or the Rat to win. Begich should drop out, but he's staying in order to deprive Palin of victory, even if it means the Rats win.
