That written assessment says a lot, while not meeting even basic western soldiering requirements, they seem to have much experience in handling their wounded….Vlads meat grinder will do that.

I guess you are limited in your thought process. Without divulging my background, are you aware that many types of field pieces ( and equipment) are easily disassembled in the field into sub assemblies for transport? Been there, done that.
I am quite sure the tube and targeting system was the primary “ assembly” of interest, chassis not so much…..that said, who ever said the captured 19 ton 50 MPH Caesars were air lifted? Ivan moves hundreds of tons of artillery shells a day, ever see the videos of the miles long ammo trains moving ordnance into Ukraine?

There’s other ways for supplies than bridges. ...as well as to retreat. But i doubt Russia’s interested in retreating.
I can’t believe people think moving equipment has to be over a bridge. Or anything else for that matter. My gosh there’s boats, helicopters, amphibian and various other means.

That said, they have no perception or any idea how efficient, massive , and equipped Ivan’s army is. The EU landscape is filled with rivers, hundreds of thousands of bridges…without huge numbers of engineering units and their pontoon bridges, an “ Army” is relegated to defensive operations only, defeat.
NATO has very little in the way of pontoon and river crossing equipment.
Today’s Nato is not the Nato of the 60’s, 70’s. Unlike Russia, the West believes their old European tactics are antiquated - they are mistaken. Vlad’s decades old doctrine of building and maintaining massive artillery, and engineering units is working in defeating Nato’s “ modern” western war doctrine, at least in the EU landscape.
Lastly, the EU is broke….and Vlad is kicking the West’s rear end in the economic theatre.
I have zero military expereince and certainly not a vet. However common sense does come into play ....following patterns....and observing the battlefield as well as (frankly) who is controlling the land. You can get a broad view of who is ahead in this conflict - and it isn’t Ukraine. All their reisisting and pushing has brought nothing but death.
I still haven’t gotten out of my head the video of a Ukraianian soldier all out of breath and sweating, hardly able to talk telling how the soldiers were dropping like flies. ......How much I disdain Zelesnky can’t be defined for putting his people in a loosing battle every single day. Citizens and soldiers alike and the false hope he pounds into their heads.
