Arizona Secretary of State and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Katie Hobbs campaign sent a letter to Arizona Citizens Clean Elections proposing a different format for a televised debate against Republican nominee Kari Lake.
Hobbs team would agree to a 30-minute interview with each candidate individually, as opposed to a one-on-one debate on air with Arizona PBS Host Ted Simons hosting.

If you are running for POTUS, you'll pay a political price for avoiding the debates. But it is so partisan now so we are past that. The Commission on Presidential Debates screwed up because they are influenced by the Democratic Party so that's the end of them.
I see her as being nothing but white trash trying to be something she never could. She is as corrupt as the Biden/Obama/Clinton/Pelosi crime families.
Let me guess, the Democrats will have one of their media disciples of deceit as a moderator.
These Dems usually dont agree to normal debates because they cannot debate on facts and they usually get scorched.
The only debate should be both candidates in separate rooms with no access to each other. The only other person in the room is a representative from the other campaign who checks the candidate for ear-wigs and hidden communication devices, not cheat sheets..
All questions are.single variable and li.ited to 10 words. (i.e. what is your position on issue “X”?)
Moderators may not interupt or ask for clarification.
The candidates cannot see or hear each other.
Have total of 5 questions that are asked of each candidate.
They can know 4 of these questions in advance and prepare for them. Each candidate has three minutes to answer
The 5th question will be supplied by the candidates for their opposition. These questions will be handed to the moderator just before he/she reads it.
No rebuttal, no talking over, no having to deal with a biased moderator.
And if the answers go beyond 3 minutes the microphone is cut off.
Just put out a statement that Hobbs is a chickenshit, you don’t have time to play and keep attacking.
