New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced numerous new gun controls going into effect in her state Thursday and made clear her belief that good guys with guns do not stop bad guys.
“This whole concept that a good guy with a gun will stop the bad guys with a gun, it doesn’t hold up. And the data bears this out, so that theory is over,” she said, according to Fox News.
On August 9, 2022, Breitbart News pointed to an incident in West Palm Beach, Florida, where a 22-year-old man retrieved a gun from his car and allegedly threatened to “shoot the crowd up.” A concealed carrier pulled his own and shot the would-be attacker dead before any innocents were harmed.
A 22-year-old concealed carrier stopped a mass shooter in his tracks in Indiana’s Greenwood Park Mall on July 17.

Does she have armed security personnel?
One would think the Republicans could find someone who’s life had been saved by a person with a gun and make a campaign commercial around that person, but that’d be hard. So forget it.
Besides, Mitch is spending the RNC warchest keeping people like Lisa Murkowski safe in her job.

A gunman who opened fire in a church in Texas, fatally shooting two people before being killed by an armed member of the congregation, has been named.
Keith Thomas Kinnunen stood up in the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement on Sunday and started shooting before he was himself shot.
A motive has not been established.
Meanwhile, the man who killed the gunman has spoken out about the incident, saying that he does not consider himself a hero.

Jack Wilson, a volunteer member of the church’s security team, said he fired a single headshot to take down the gunman during the service, which was attended by 240 people while being livestreamed on social media.
“I had people in front of me. I had to wait until they got out of my line of fire because I didn’t want to hit any of them,” he told CBS News.

The young woman in WV stopped a guy who started shooting, and just the other week, right (it may not have even counted as a mass murder because it stopped too soon)? See, so brief I already start forgetting.
