We will be so bold as to posit that not only has the sanctions war against Russia backfired spectacularly, but the damage to the West, most of all Europe, is accelerating rapidly. And this is not the result of Russia taking active measures2 but the costs of the loss or reduction of key Russian resources compounding over time.
So due to the intensity of the energy shock, the economic timetable is moving faster than the military. Unless Europe engages in a major course correction, and we don’t see how this can happen, the European economic crisis looks set to become devastating before Ukraine is formally defeated.
Now that European leaders are returning from summer holidays, it appears only now to be dawning on them that Europe is entering a severe and almost certainly protracted economic crisis.

Europe is managing to lose a war which they are not even technically involved in.
I doubt the Zelenskyy fans will ever understand this reality. They’re in denial that they were duped by the MSM and the globalists and believed their ridiculous David vs Goliath fable.
Is this the Russian way, slow roll to drain the enemy? Feel sorry for the EU especially the Germans. Gonna be a cold winter. Maybe the Dark winter Joe spoke of last year.
Europe is going green, soon to be soylent green, we should celebrate
Europe put sanctions in place against Russia....and now are blaming Putin for their energy shortages.
Tucker Carlson goes into this today. Shocking.

“Will Europe Go Down to Defeat Before Ukraine?”
Only if they’re lucky.

Every time I start to feel sorry for the Krauts, I remember this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfJv9QYrlwg
That’s what the word is, drag it on through the winter. Drain the EU and NATO.
Europe should have better prepared. Russia knew this was coming years ago, as did the US. It’s just that we aren’t affected by it as much as Europe is.
I bet they are still laughing at Trump like they did at the United Nations.
Will FreeRepublic ever be liberated from all the many posts about some bunk little war on the other side of the world?
Zelensky is still banking on his media publicity and propaganda machinery to keep his Ukrainians fighting and believing for a favorable outcome.
The leaders of these countries wanted a regime change in Moscow. But, the regime changes are going to occurring in their own countries if the self-inflicted policies cause a depression.
They could have told Victoria Newman ‘no’ when she strong-armed them to be supportive of Ukraine or else.
…and their weapons “ donations” are grinding to a halt, at least from the EU members that rely on a manufacturing base dependent on NG and commodities that were basically all procured from Russia. Any more weapons donations not only depletes their own meager military stores, but crippled and suicides their civilian manufacturing.
Rationing was announced in July, now in effect…..the West and EU is being crippled, why are they so intent on committing suicide?

All the while Vlad continues to get rich, the West goes deeper into unpayable debt, and their citizens start suffering unbearably and needlessly.
It doesn’t take a genius to see who is winning this war.
Once the American children get Freeport back up and running, we'll get to see how high US domestic natgas prices will go this winter.
The dirty RuZZians don't have a Star Wars tradition, so they don't know that when Luke Pianokeyboardwalker mounts up on his trusty Z-wing, Blue&Yellow Six, the Moscow Death Star is going down.
The Russians have the Berlin 1945 tradition, where Steiner doesn't show up, and the Reich Chancellery gets pounded into chunky dust by - wait for it - artillery.
Because both NATO and the EU have committed to supporting Ukraine, member states are effectively involved and subject to repercussions. The Russians won’t care about “technically”.
And something to take into account is that the folks of western Europe, for the most part, have been leading very comfortable lives. They ain’t their grandaddy’s generation. And we’re no different.
It’ll never happen to them. Until it does.
Well if Europe does go down, perhaps Americans will no longer be required to spend our blood and treasure every time they decide to redraw a border line.
