Michigan could be the next state to put abortion on the November ballot, and Democrats no doubt hope it will juice turnout among their base, carrying Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to a second term and maybe flipping some House or state legislative races. Have Republicans devised a better strategy since this month’s blowout referendum in Kansas?
Michigan’s proposed constitutional amendment would create a right to “reproductive freedom,” including abortion access through fetal viability, which is roughly 24 weeks. Proponents needed to gather 425,059 signatures. They submitted about 750,000, which news reports say is the most ever for a Michigan initiative. Official certification to appear on the November ballot could come from a state board Wednesday…

They're satisfied with their nice safe pieces of the Michigan political pie - control of the state legislature and easy re-election in their respective districts.
Doesn’t sound possible, but a Senator Johnson once said that if all the soldiers went to one end of Guam it might capsize. So it might be possible that abortion could upend Michigan if all the abortions were at one side.
Keep it on the down low until after the election.
The Kansas referendum was poorly worded, creating confusion and the crazy vote.
If clearly articulated, most voters don’t want their states to be free kill zones.
Are you saying because of the poorly worded referendum, there were tons of people who voted YES when they really meant to vote NO, and tons of people who voted NO when they really meant to vote YES?
These pro abortion kamikazes are turning into a big problem.

Putting an amendment to add legal abortions to the MI state constitution is just a Democrat way to motivate pro-baby killing Democrat voters to get to the polls in November 2020. They want to elect more Democrats state wide to keep power in MI.
The USSC case ruled that abortion is a state matter so the MI legislature can meet in 2023 to add a law allowing abortions and the Democrat MI governor will sign it. No need for the issue on the 2022 ballot other than politics.
Eventually economics will kill off the pro abortion nutjobs.
They’ll vote for their right to kill.
They may gain a short-term political advantage but long term they will fail for a couple of reasons
1) Single issue political advantage doesn’t last very long when the emotion evaporates.
2) Without a sufficient labor supply, capitalists will be scrambling to provide the good life that so many of these morons expect.
Eventually this issue will balance out.
It was a huge factor.
