Democratic candidates are hesitant to campaign with Biden despite recent win streak

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden’s recent political revitalization hasn’t stopped some Democrats in competitive midterm races from treating him like an in-law: always welcome but seldom wanted.

Democratic candidates are tiptoeing around his official visits, making case-by-case decisions about whether to appear with him. They're also speaking out against him on certain issues.

One campaign outright said it wasn't interested in a Biden visit, while a veteran House Democrat told voters she is “fighting back” against the president.

Democrats are walking a tightrope in characterizing their ties to Biden, which might seem counterintuitive considering the streak of legislative victories that have won the president a slew of positive headlines and helped his approval rating to start ticking back up.

The dynamic points to friction between Biden’s interests and those of fellow Democrats: He wants to show that he’s no longer politically toxic, and they're worried it might be too soon to take that step. The strained relationships are on display as Biden plans to tour the country, with an emphasis on battleground states, for a victory lap after recent accomplishments, including passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which is designed to lower the cost of prescription drugs and spend heavily on efforts to combat climate change, as well as an executive action to cancel some federal student loan debt.

“I don’t think there’s any Democrat in a competitive district who is clamoring for Biden to come,” said an aide to a high-profile Democrat in a tough race. “The White House wants to show that they’re back or whatever, but there’s just a disconnect.”

Win streak LOL... all his so called wins are pretty unpopular with Americans...

New Emerson polls out today... R’s +5 on Generic, which is pretty consistent and would indicate a major red wave in November.... Walker +2 in GA Senate... Trump beating Biden in OH, PA and GA in 2025.

Recent polling seems to show republicans starting to trend back up. Baris and Trafalger say that Republicans dont poll well in the summer historically.

Recent weeks in just a try to put on a happy face and spin positive by the admin and MSM.

The Democrat, fake, POTUS, Joe Biden speech today was a boring, nothing speech delivered to about 200-300 “overweight”, people stuffed, probably in a local union hall!!

Trump has a major, rally scheduled for this coming Saturday, evening, September 3rd, 2022...also being held in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania...where Biden held his speech rally today!!! Trump of course will draw over 10,000 people and more to his gig...period!!!

It is certainly evident why most Democrats running for office this year, want no part of campaigning with the totally failed POTUS, Joe Biden!!! Case Closed!!!

Propaganda so thick, you need a Milwaukee SawZall to cut it.

Positive headlines from the media for Biden is a big deal?

They would give him a positive headline for eating an ice cream cone without the ice cream falling on the ground.

What a joke Biden had nothing to do with any of these “wins”. They could put a grocery list in front of Biden and he would sign it.

“recent political revitalization” exists only in the minds of the media true believers. At best most rats seem apathetic about the vegetable in chief. A few feverish zealots continue to fire up the occasional blow torch but that won’t last long without constant refueling.

I expect the Thursday speechifying will be red meat to the fangtoothed abortion women, and unabashed nasty insults to us normals, which somehow they think will win them new converts. Because if i want to win someone over I will be sure to insult their intelligence and call them fascists

So what has he won? Gas prices going down a $1/gallon after he ran them up $3/gallon? Recession being avoided by redefining it (with his MSM lapdogs going along)? Inflation avoiding double digits? College loan forgiveness that is pissing off his blue-collar/union supporters? Pushing through a couple of pieces of legislation when you control both houses of Congress? Alarming everyone with the politicization of federal law enforcement agencies? What victories am I missing?
