Leftist democrat politics lead to Third World Government.
And the Democrats under Obama and Biden spent how many TRILLIONS on INFRASTRUCTURE ???
Jackson is a VERY black city. We stopped at an intersection a few years back thinking we would stop for the night. That same intersection had a white woman shot and killed a few weeks later just for being there and being white.
Or they’ll blame not-passing Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill which would have fixed all the failing water systems across the country
Will thousands of toilets malfunction? That would be a riot.
Is it me or is there something Biblical about the drought in the USA and globally?
Never fear! Bidenman is here! He’ll send a billion bottles of water! And if he doesn’t, the entire media will give him a free pass.
I’m from Mississippi. The federal and state governments have given Jackson untold millions of dollars to upgrade the water system over the years but the money keeps getting siphoned off into other projects or outright stolen. To be fair it’s not all Lumumba’s fault, though he’s certainly a part of it. Most of the city council are crooks too, it’s just a matter of which one can steal money the fastest. They are, predictably, mostly of the political party and race that you would likely guess. Throwing more money at it won’t work, it’s just dumping it down a pit of political corruption.
Corrupt democrat city... where democrat blacks rip off the powerless black community for fun and profit.

Let me make a prediction- US Govt. (Taxpayer) money is going to bail their thieving black ashes out.
They're in a race to the bottom to force the red states to bail them out via fedzilla.
These cities are never coming back. They're not up to standards from 1950, much less 2022.
My aunt and uncle lived in an incredible antebellum home in Jackson in the 60’s and 70’s. My uncle called my father, told him their neighborhood was becoming inundated with democrats, and wanted to move into assisted living. He transferred all his monies to my father who paid their bills and looked after them until their deaths. BTW, they received a pittance for the mansion as home values had dropped drastically due to the neighbors. I’ve considered Jackson a crappy city ever since and I’m not in the least bit surprised with the current situation.
Now just a minute. They are called Mississippi because they are near what humungous river? And they have a water shortage?
Gov. Tate Reeves is a weak leader and a failure. News flash: Numerous hydrology students, ages 20-23, can fix the water problems in Memphis. Just ask them.
How long have Democrats been in charge of the city?
stories like this make me happy I have a private well, and private septic system, backup generator to run the well (among other things), 150+ acres of forestland to cut firewood, and a wood boiler and wood stove.
The S may hit the fan around me, but unless I will be able to heat my house, drink my water and flush my toilets for quite a while after most folks - just would need to scrounge enough fuel to keep the generator running in an extended failure - oh yea, and I live at 1500’ elevation - no chance of flooding.
What is the evac plan?
It is no longer a viable city.
My town of less than 50,000 started reworking it’s water system about 20 years ago.
It removed old clay tile water supply lines which were collapsing and replaced them with proper steel pipes. The old clay pipes were nearly 100 years old and could not withstand a ‘high flow’ situation - like a fire.
Then one winter morning in 2009 a gas explosion rocked downtown Bozeman, MT and over the course of five days more than 10,000,000 gallons were used to put out the fire. Five buildings were destroyed with, lucky, only one fatality.
If the city had not replaced the water system the fire would have been out of control fairly quickly as the water supply pipes would have collapsed. There would have been no way - other than tanker trucks to deliver water to the fire - tankers which could NEVER deliver 2,000,000 gallons of water per day..
The fire was compounded by having NO gas shut-off valve and it took nearly 48 hours to install a valve and stop the gas flow.
The mayor said it would cost $200 million to fix the water system. That is, of course, ridiculous.
