Former FBI official Peter Strzok said in an interview that foreign intelligence services in countries, including Russia, have been "absolutely" interested in gaining access to former President Donald Trump's Florida property, Mar-a-Lago.
Strzok's comments come after the FBI raided the property earlier this month as part of an investigation into whether Trump potentially mishandled classified information.
During his interview, Katie Phang asked Strzok if he believes it's a possibility that the Russians would have been interested and "possibly tried to infiltrate" Mar-a-Lago.
"Well Katie, absolutely the Russians, but not just the Russians, any competent foreign intelligence service, whether that's those belonging to China, those belonging to Iran, to Cuba, certainly including Russia, are all...interested in gaining access to Mar-a-Lago," Strzok responded.
Strzok was fired from the FBI after text messages from 2016 were released revealing anti-Trump remarks between himself and FBI lawyer Lisa Page. He has remained a critic of the former president, and published a book in 2020 titled Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump.
During his interview, Strzok said that foreign intelligence services are "going to have been trying to gain access" to Mar-a-Lago during and after Trump's presidential administration.
"And that's absolutely the sort of thing that the U.S. intelligence community and the FBI in particular are going to concerned about what they need to do to mitigate any sort of damage that might [have] occurred," he added.
During an interview on Friday, veteran Republican political strategist Karl Rove said that Secret Service officials could have been the mole.
The ex-president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, and accused the FBI of corruption, although the federal agency is currently led by Director Christopher Wray, whom Trump nominated to the position. The former president also said that the FBI search was targeting him and his family.

“I’m guessing you and Strzok see life thru the the same colored lense?”
You would guess wrongly.
Thank you, appreciate your summation :)
Russians are no longer interested in infiltrating the State Department. Hillary gave them the keys and a golden pass.
I never could figure out how Soros was allowed to enter our country.
Even more nonsense from the sleazy, super corrupt, constantly lying FBI?
YUP.
“Russians are no longer interested in infiltrating the State Department. Hillary gave them the keys and a golden pass.”
Appreciate your comment regarding Comrade Hillary.
Unfortunately, it is too true
We, the FBI knew we had a female agent successfully infiltrating Pres. Trump’s home. She appears to be Ukrainian, not Russian, but we, the FBI tells whoppers to fool dumb gullible Americans.
Do you believe the FBI?
I see 3 significant possibilities.
1. Russia was trying to infiltrate Trump’s inner circle.
2. The CIA or some other 3-letter agency was trying to infiltrate Trump’s inner circle.
3. “Anna” was just a grifter in the mold of Anna Sorokin of “Inventing Anna” fame.
I think the likelihood is in order listed.

What do you think of Nuremberg 2.0? First time the Nazis did not learn. This harsh enough or will they need more?
So what if Russia or China or whoever got access to those documents... they were all declassified... so we can all see them.
Tried. That’s no cigar.
Still waiting for the release of the Moscow Pee-Tapes Rachel Maddow and “unnamed CIA officials” promised us.
LOL...Now the Russkies have to “infiltrate” MAL? I thought Trump was colluding with them and giving them everything they wanted.
Which is it, Strzok?

Yes, I totally agree with your observations.
Don’t forget Feinstein’s Chinese spy chauffeur for 20 years or that creep Congresscritter from CA shagging the Chinese spy while he was on the House Intelligence Committee.
