Sounds like they need a bit more training, at least before being sent to a location as dangerous as a Democrat-run city. They probably thought they were in Afghanistan, Yemen, Colombia or some other safe place.

Three men were shot in the heart of Indianapolis’ entertainment district early Saturday morning, leaving two of them in critical condition, according to Indianapolis police.
The three are Dutch soldiers in Indiana for training, according to the Netherlands Department of Defense.
The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 100 block of South Meridian Street, near the intersection of Meridian and Maryland streets.
Police believe a disturbance between the three victims and another person or people led to the shooting and that there is no threat to the public.
The men are members of the Korps Commandotroepen, or Commando Corps, which is a special defense unit of the Royal Netherlands Army, according to the defense department. The incident happened during the military’s free time, in front of the hotel where they were staying, the department says.

Sounds like they were followed back to the hotel from another venue.
Should make it easier to identify the perps, especially if the other venue has video surveillance.

3:30 am is an odd time for them to be standing outside a hotel. So I bet you’re right.
Netherlands is 6 hours ahead of Indianapolis.
03:30 + 6 = 09:30
Maybe they were still adjusting for the time difference ?
Also being in Commando Training I'll guess that they don't train from 9-5 daylight hours. Most Commando Ops are not done in daylight.
Perhaps they were shot by some visiting Dutch farmers anticipating eco-tyranny enforcement back in Holland? Trying to think outside the box.
Last time I was in Paris in 2010, I was super jet lagged and walked around a bit late at night.

Yes, “The Indiana National Guard said the soldiers had been training at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, a 1,000-acre (405-hectare) complex about 40 miles (65 kilometers) southeast of Indianapolis. The Guard said in a statement that the center is used for training by the Department of Defense “as well as other allies.”
A deputy spotted several of the candidates in a vehicle acting strange and made a stop.
The candidates thought it was part of the training and decided to jump the deputy.
The deputy "won" but sadly, at least one of the SF candidates was killed.

Nice we have a MIC that gives us ‘Urban Training Centers’. So the National Guard can prepare for more atrocities such as Iraq or more likely when the President calls all Maga voters fascists to train how to lockdown American cities and conduct mass roundups of American citizens for concentration camps at places such as Camp Atterberry.
It is nice that America doesn’t send its soldiers into combat without training.
The military has to train or we cease to exist.
Kind of cruel to put them in the thick of things right off the bat.
Maybe drop the trainees off in Columbus or Terre-Haute first.
