On the evening of August 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traditionally addressed the Ukrainians.
Export grain initiative has been working for almost a month, and during this time we [Ukraine] exported the first one million tons of agricultural products from our three sea ports - Chornomorsk, Odessa and Yuzhny - since February 24.
Ukrainian grain and the very fact that our direction of delivery to the global food market has started to work, allows us to avoid chaos in the market, relieve the acuteness of the food crisis, prevent a catastrophic deficit.
Ukraine was, is and will be among the guarantors of global food security.
These exports not only support Ukraine's international entity, but also provide jobs for our citizens - hundreds of thousands of jobs, generate income for Ukrainian companies and the state budget and, very importantly, provide funds for next year's sowing season.
This is a really important result for Ukraine, the Black Sea region and the whole world. And I am grateful to all who have joined this work. And I emphasize that it is the full responsibility of the partners not to allow any Russian provocations and disruption of exports,"- said in the message.
Difficult news, this is still good news for the good guys.

“Ukraine is pushing back the south east around Kherson, while their economy and exports are picking up when a global food supply is a concern.”
Absolutely agree: “good news for the good guys.”
The night shift for the Putinists (PST to EST time zones, not MSK) is becoming amusing instead of a nuisance.
“Next time I go shopping, I should remember to get some popcorn and snacks.”
Absolutely, most fun! :D

Monsanto thanks them, and the Turks will get to kill more Kurds as the brokerage fee.
you appear to be one of the most misinformed people that i’ve seen on FR. The Rus territory capture rate has been steady and they have captured a bit of territory in the last two weeks around Kherson. About 300 sq mi remains to be captured in donetsk. and the Rus are getting 1-4 towns/week plus about 5 sq mi/week. so it’s about 60 more weeks to get donetsk if ukes lines don’t collapse and if they can survive winter. the Rus don’t follow a calendar - they minimize their own losses.
JUST REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING:
βSome people try to be tall by cutting off the heads of others.β β Paramahansa Yogananda
yOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE :D
First, Ukraine has asked for a news black out going on around Kherson. The major news and OSINT are keeping quite about what Ukrainian operations in Kherson to avoid tipping off Russia.
Second, Russia lies. Russia state TV, Z Slava telegram channels, shills like Douglas Macgregor, Gonzalo Lira and Scott Ritter, lie about everything all the time. A few days after two French Caesar howitzers arrived in Ukraine, Russia claimed they captured them from behind the lines and flew them a thousand miles into Russia overnight.
Every time Ukraine hits Russia and makes it hurt, Russia gets in the last word by denying what Ukraine did and claiming they hurt Ukraine even more. When Russia gets in the last word, they are lying.
Third, what the internet says does not reflect what is happening on the ground all that well. Up in Donestk, say for example there is a kilometer between the lines. Russia claims to have advanced 300 meters. They can put out press releases and, everyone updates their online maps, lots of posts on forums are made. The actual territory controlled by either side has not changed. After taking Servodonestk and Lysychansk, Russian efforts to take Donestk have slowed and are nearing a stand still as far as the Ukrainian defenders are concerned.
In the south, Ukraine is going for Kherson and looking like they are getting ready to take back Crimea. For the outcome of the war, that is more important than anything else right now.
