A progressive Virginia prosecutor this year dropped charges against a felon with a history of gun charges. Months later, that felon killed two innocent men.
In July, Francis Rose shot two "innocent bystanders" in the head while robbing an apartment complex in Alexandria, Va., according to police. In February, he was freed from jail by the office of Arlington County commonwealth’s attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti (D.). Rose, who was already on probation for illegally carrying a weapon in Washington, D.C., was arrested in October 2020 for possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine and fentanyl with intent to distribute.
The double murder is the latest instance where soft-on-crime Virginia prosecutors enabled violent felons. Dehghani-Tafti’s ally Steve Descano (D.), Fairfax County’s top prosecutor, released three offenders with gun charges who each went on to murder. Both prosecutors’ campaigns received over $600,000 from the Democratic megadonor George Soros. Like Soros-backed prosecutors across the country, Dehghani-Tafti and Descano have abolished cash bail and pushed for decarceration.
Police announced the double homicide of Adrian de Jesus Rivera Guzman and his step-son, Juan Carlos Anaya Hernandez, on Tuesday. Rose’s victims were landscape workers who had escaped gang-led violence in their native El Salvador.
Arlington police arrested Rose during a traffic stop in 2020 after finding a loaded handgun, cocaine, and fentanyl on him. In February, a county judge ruled the search unconstitutional. The evidence was not legally admissible because the drugs and gun were "appended" to Rose rather than in the car, his defense attorney argued, according to the Washington Post. Dehghani-Tafti’s office dropped the charges following the judge’s ruling and criticized the arresting officers’ conduct.

Why do they call them “prosecutors”?
Obviously the problem here is not the release of this man by “Parisa Dehghani-Tafti (D.),” it’s the availability of guns under the Constitution of the United States.
It's the big lie they tell themselves; "we have law and government to deal with problems affecting public safety" when the brutal truth is no, we don't.

With that kind of money, you can pretty much buy any state office below governor.
There oughta be a law. If you don’t live in a district, you cannot contribute to any race in the district.

The Progressive Prosecutor should be considered complicit in the murders and given a Prison Sentence.
I'm sure Soros and his goons have other terms. Maybe justice equity enhancers? For "participants in the criminal justice system."
GOP should have TV ads like the GHW Bush ones (Willie Horton) about harm done by released violent thugs. Note: At one nice restaurant the woman he hurt saw willie Horton at another table enjoying his fine meal.

Horton was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, which was the maximum possible penalty, inasmuch as Gov. Dukakis had vetoed the death penalty. The whole idea of sentencing first-degree murderers to life without parole is that they are never supposed to be let out of prison. But under the weekend furlough program lustily promoted by Dukakis, Horton was released.
On April 3, 1987, months after running away from his most recent furlough, Horton broke into the Maryland home of Cliff Barnes and his fiancée, Angela Miller, and waited for them to return. When Barnes got home, Horton lunged at him, dragged him to the basement, tied him up, and spent hours torturing him, slashing him and jamming a pistol butt in his mouth and eyes. He told Barnes he planned to hang him and watch him die.
Five hours later, Barnes’ fiancée came home. Horton left Barnes bound and gagged in the basement, went upstairs and repeatedly raped and beat Miller, as Barnes listened helplessly from the basement.
