They have to worry out being not only ostracized, but also doxxed, stalked and victimized by identity theft and false reporting. These people had better keep a loaded gun at their bed stand and pick up and drop off their kids to school.
FBI agents should be doing the same.

Yeah and it’s not just the wages, there’s cadillac health insurance, all major/minor/faux holidays off and a pension.

This whole thing is getting some serious discussion in the CPA profession. Probably not enough, but it has certainly raised some eyebrows. And hopefully been the “red pill” about Democrats for some.

It’d be nice that the stigma of working for the hated IRS would be a deterrent, but eventually they’ll find the filth they need to fill their ranks.

The new IRS recruits are arriving right now, crossing the border.

I'd say any hiring push for any govt entity, including (and especially) the IRS, is going to be slow.

Next step, get the non-English speaking leeches (currently begging for free stuff on street corners), to do the job.

My brother works there and believe me the job sucks. In the end no one really likes to work for people who have no idea what they are doing. and tell you how to do stuff.

They can always draft felons in prison to process your tax returns...

They don’t need new CPAs - just people who can pass the marksmanship test.

That’s a recruiting video. Nothing more.

Studies by the US Dept of Labor have shown that for years, the number of people that are willing and qualified to go into:

Law enforcement, fire services, emt, the trades, truck driving

Has been declining at a rate of about 5% a year, every year, for almost a decade. It has been designated a National security issue.

And these same problems are across the board.

Woke, young kids are more concerned about TikTok and Snapchat

Not if it involves putting themselves in harm's way.

They just need lower standards. Felons, drug addicts and all sorts of mental deviants will fill their needs.

I think it was Dan Bongino who said a week ago that the private sector can’t find qualified accountants for CPA firms so the likelihood of the government finding ANY - qualified or otherwise - is moot. Of course, the government won’t make “qualified” one of the requirements for hiring. As we know, any old warm body has always done the job!!

Quick story: I owned a business in Louisville, KY. I got a letter from the state tax people that one of their “agents” was going to visit my office to audit state sales tax collection and payment by my business.

This guy shows up at 11:00am, bitching he had to drive to my business from the state capitol in Frankfort, KY. About an hour’s drive. His car was a late model Ford LTD.

I provided him office space and full access to the company records.

It took him two days to do the audit. In the end he found one invoice where we failed to collect sales tax. In addition to the sales tax we had to pay interest and a penalty. Total was around $12.00.

The guy probably spent more than that on gas spending two days driving back and forth from Louisville to Frankfort.

What a waste.
