Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D), running against Mehmet Oz for the state’s open U.S. Senate seat, continues to receive many questions about his health as he dodges debates with his opponent.
Following Fetterman’s semi-recent stroke and the lieutenant governor keeping an extremely low profile on the campaign trail, he has not accepted any proposal to debate Oz for the U.S. Senate seat.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on Tuesday that KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh has wanted to hold a televised debate, but only Oz agreed to participate.
This all comes as state Sen. Dave Argall (R), the chairman of the Pennsylvania Senate State Government Committee, presses Fetterman to share the records he used and the timing for when he informed Gov. Tom Wolf about the stroke he previously suffered.
PennLive reported on Tuesday that Argall sent a follow-up letter last Friday to Fetterman asking to provide the communication between himself and the governor.
In his follow-up letter to Fetterman, Argall also repeated his invitation for Fetterman to testify to the committee he chairs in order to review a 1974 law that encompasses the procedures to follow if the state’s governor or lieutenant governor is unable to discharge the duties of their office.
“This subject matter is of immense importance to our commonwealth as maintaining continuity of government has never been more important.”

Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
If his stroke left lasting damage, he should step aside and
let another Democrat run.
I’m not trying to be callused about his illness, but the
people of the state should have a healthy person representing
them.
Look at what we have in the White House. Good idea?
His illness is fair game. Do any of us think the Democrats
would take a pass on addressing the issue if the tables were
turned?
That was Biden’s election strategy:
hide in the basement. And it worked :(
Hiding in the basement seems to work. 81 million ballots.
Letting convicted criminals out of prison, eh?
Get him to sweat it out with a public confrontation by planted antagonists sho he will act nuts. Get him talking so he will show his mental decline.
He should never be in office no matter how worthless and stupid the Dem voters are.
Hobbs is dodging Lake in AZ too. They just want to load the machines and have the media talk for them.
It worked BECAUSE they stole it, they had the steal in place long before the campaigns even started!!
The mainstream media usually leads the charge for “mass debating” in political campaigns with their organizations in a leading role.
Will they demand a series of debates in the Fetterman-Oz race?
Fetterman is the ugliest politician I have ever seen run for office. Reading his list of “accomplishments” shows that he is totally unqualified for anything except being a welfare bum. He is seriously dain bramaged as a result of his stroke. I cannot believe he is in the lead - although Mehmet Oz would not be my first choice either.
Agree we used to be tender about them but we cannot afford that now. We didn’t choose for him to have a stroke.
We could be in gulags when the fundamental transformation into Communism takes place.
No sympathy for us, then.
People who vote Dem will ALL say about us “They deserved to die. They were against our point of view.”
Yes...
Yes, that’s pretty much it.
I wish welfare recipients were as manly. Die trying.
They only step aside when they’re Dead
Biden didn’t get away ducking the debates completely. He had help sure but he had to do a couple. Will this guy get away with this?
There is a core of Welfare recipients, that I don’t mind
getting assistance. If you are incapacitated, I understand
things being out of your control, and the need for assistance.
When it comes to able bodied people, they need to get off
their duff and fend for themselves.
A short period of assistance may be reasoned, but then
they should be on their own or get family help.
There are ways to make ends meet. Sublet your apartment,
get more than one income stream coming in.
Today, in many places minimum wage is pretty workable.
You get two of those types of incomes coming into a
household, and you can live pretty well.
Perhaps counseling to get people to do more of this
might be advisable.
We spend between $1 and $1,5 trillion dollars on
Welfare of some sort in the United States each
year. It’s hard to pin it down, because as I understand
it, there are over 100 programs of some sort that are
actually Welfare.
That should be more like $250 billion > IMO.
That’s where you start cutting.
Give healthy people 12 months to get a job. Start
reducing the Welfare payment by 1/12th each month.
At the end of a year, no more assistance.
That seems to be the case.
They are carried aside.
Biden didn’t get away ducking the debates completely. He had help sure but he had to do a couple. Will this guy get away with this?
