Noaa model GPS predicts Cat 5 hurricane in the upper GOM by Labor Day weekend. Storm building now east west of African coast.
Where in Texas are you? The Dallas/Fort worth area is experiencing heavy flooding at this this time. Here in the Houston area we had a fair amount of rain Thursday and Friday of last week with more predicted this week.

As for the SST being what causes “hellacious” hurricanes...then every storm that forms would be a cat 5....i dont care if the SST is 212 degrees and the ocean is boiling, without the proper upper level atmosphere and lack of shear...you know what happens??...NOTHING HAPPENS. Dude, they can NOT predict hurricanes seasons, ok??...geez...

If I recall correctly, NOAA predicted 100,000 named storms this year due to climate change. But if this year’s tropical season is a bust, then you can bet NOAA will blame climate change.

Buy a power generator that runs on propane or gasoline ($700 or so) big enough to keep your fridge and freezer running.
Buy extra propane tanks for cooking on your gas grill.
Toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, etc.

NEVER.
But now there’s CLIMATE CHANGE.
If we all drove ELECTRIC CARS and heated our homes with SOLAR PANELS and WINDMILLS, we’d only have Cat 5 hurricanes on Thanksgiving.
But that’s okay. Thanksgiving is all about GOD, and we told God to leave, so he left.
