A 31-year-old man was making dinner Monday evening when he suddenly grabbed a knife and stabbed four people inside a York County home, killing his girlfriend and a child, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Keith Kretzer, of Edgewood, Maryland, is being held in York County Prison on two counts of homicide and two counts of attempted homicide in connection to the quadruple stabbing on the first block of Firebox Court in Hopewell Township. He was arraigned Tuesday morning.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by state police said this is what happened:
Kretzer was in the basement with his girlfriend Christine Fousek, 34, and a 5-year-old girl around 7:19 p.m. when he “believed that something took control of him and made him grab a knife,” state police said in the court documents.
He killed Fousek and the girl by stabbing them in the head, neck and torso, according to the affidavit. The York County Coroner’s Office pronounced them dead at the scene less than an hour later.
The affidavit said Kretzer also stabbed a 63-year-old woman in the home’s living room. She was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
A 28-year-old man was in a second-floor bedroom playing video games when he heard screaming and saw Kretzer burst into the room, knife in hand. The affidavit said the 28-year-old forced the knife out of Kretzer’s hand, and a struggle ensued.
The 28-year-old survived and was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, state police said. Authorities said the four victims are all Stewartstown residents.
Kretzer told investigators he “snapped out of it” while he was fighting the 28-year-old man, the affidavit said. He ran out of the home and toward a large field.
“I [expletive] up and went and killed people,” Kretzer said, according to the affidavit.
State police said investigators found marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and psychedelic mushrooms in the home after the attacks.
The same with Austin Harrouff. He murdered two people in Florida and tried to murder a third. He was eating the face off the man. When the Police pulled him off. His father is a Dentist with lots of money and he will walk scott free. His lawyer got him a non jury trial, just a Judge. So the fix is in for an acquital.
I wonder if he was on SSRI’s? A coworker years ago who was on Paxil told me of a totally unprovoked violent episode he had with his wife. He asked her if she’d taken the car into the shop, she said she hadn’t. Suddenly he’d flipped the kitchen table over in a fit of rage. Which was very uncharacteristic. If you look on the bottle, it will warn of violent unprovoked episodes...
Yes notice he did not snap and go attack some strong prepared man.
Just a surprised and unarmed woman and child.
Funny how this is usually. The snapping always with defenseless people around.
Love and prayers for the unsurprised strong 28 year old man who successfully intervened. Notice he then “snapped out of it”
Wow who could predict.
Bad trip, man.
The ones that do that do not make the news.
he “believed that something took control of him and made him grab a knife,”
Dope and shrooms are evil that way.
Many people experience paranoia on Marijuana And other psychedelics.
Is the perp a woman? On testosterone?
Looks like a woman.

“snapped” “something took control of him and made him grab a knife”
Warning to criminals: don’t try the “snapped” defense when I’m on the jury team.
One ounce of lead traveling at supersonic speed between this fiends ears would save millions of dollars.
Final Protective Orders? I never heard of that. Child Protective Order, Criminal Protected Order, yes. Final?

I also just remembered a story my Dad told me. Growing up in the Boston area in the 1950’s. One night, they were awakened to loud banging on their front door. It was the woman from next door, with her kids. She was woken in the middle of the night by her husband trying to put a chloroform-soaked rag on her mouth. He’d gone nuts and intended to kill her and the kids. Granddad was out, and Dad was very little. He remembers his big brother sitting on the stairs with a baseball bat as Grandma called the cops and the lunatic pounded on their door trying to get in to kill them all.
Excellent article.
You should post it as its own thread.
