On Aug. 12, a federal court jury in Alabama fired off an unmistakable message to the media and the D.C. swamp: “Stop lying and stop corrupting our elections. There will be consequences if you don’t.” That message was sent in the form of an $8.2 million verdict for defamation in favor of former Alabama Supreme Court Justice and senatorial candidate Roy Moore against a major Democratic player and his allies.

How quietly this happened. The media called the guy a pedophile for months. 8.2 million teaches them nothing. Make it 8.2 billion and bankrupt the people who would do this. This all probably started with shady Mitch

I remember that they used a high school yearbook page with a clearly forged addition (different ink color, different handwriting, etc. added to an originally very innocent yearbook signature)

The Washington Post wins 2 Pulitzer Prizes for reporting on Russian interference and the Senate race in Alabama (Flash Back!!)

The Washington Post was awarded two Pulitzer Prizes on Monday, capturing journalism’s most prestigious honor for its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and for its coverage of the 2017 Senate race in Alabama, in which The Post broke the story of sexual misconduct allegations against the Republican candidate, Roy Moore.

It wasn’t the deep state’s desired outcome so it must be swept under the rug.

Totally agree. 8.2 million is a drop of water in a bucket to these PACs.

People need to be prosecuted and sent to jail for this in addition to fines at least 50 time greater.

Yep, and it was AFTER the left used the exact same playbook on Herman Cain, and on Donald Trump, and FReepers were still falling for it, hook, line and sinker.

What I didn't get was, it was obvious the allegations on Moore were phony and many in Alabama who knew Moore pointed it out at the time. The Democrats and news were doing the same to Moore as they were trying to do to Trump.

Yet as soon as the State and National GOP abandoned him, so did much of the GOP base. Instead of fighting what an eaiser fight than what Trump was going through our side folded. Trump could not go it alone, yet that is how a lot of the base acted.

When Roy Moore ran for office that last time, he was
attacked by just about everyone. The Democrats, the Media,
the Republican leadership. Yep, the RNC/GOPe were at it
again. They trashed him, and even made robo calls against
him either the day before or on election day, telling
Republicans not to vote for him.

He was slandered, lied about, treated unfairly in about
every way possible. A guy that would have voted with us
about 99% of the time, was deemed too “something” to be
elected to office.

Those of us who participated in denigrating the guy should
hang their heads in shame, but they won’t. They’ll move
on to the next guy they think deserves destruction, even
if they don’t.

He was a guy that put up the Ten Commandments at his own
personal cost. We should have defended that, but for
some reason, Roy represented such a threat to some folks,
they actually joined the Left in trashing him.

There is an old saying that Republicans eat their own.

No finer example can be found.
