Dr. Mehmet Oz, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is getting another boost from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., showing the importance of the open Pennsylvania Senate seat in the midterm race for the majority.
McConnell's Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) is pumping another $9.5 million into the race, bringing its total funding to $34 million, and a Friday ad by the SLF exposes Democrat Sen.-nominee John Fetterman for his soft-on-crime policies amid a "violent crime surge."
"Pennsylvania is a top-tier priority that is integral to our goal of electing a Republican Senate majority," SLF President Steven Law wrote in a statement. "We have long said Pennsylvania is a winnable seat if Republicans can stay competitive on air and articulate a message about improving Americans' quality of life — now we are putting our money where our mouth is."
The latest SLF ad released Friday does not mention Oz, but it does expose Fetterman's work to release prisoners from jail, "end life sentences for felony murder," support for sanctuary cities, citing media reports on his policies amid rising crime in Pennsylvania. "John Fetterman is just too far left," the SLF concluded.

I’m torn here because obviously Mitch will own Oz now should he win. The Senate is just not getting any more MAGA.

That would be a tall order, but I expect him to be out on
that end of the spectrum.
Even if he is out there to an extent more than we like, it
also depends on whether he has a proclivity to trash Trump
in public on every issue like Romney does.
I hope not to see that. We may.
Bottom line, if we get the majority, all the committees will
be lead by better people.
Oz won’t affect that if anyone has a clue in the committee
setups.

You better not, as I believe this is the FIRST TIME that McConnell has spent any money to try to defeat a Democrat, rather than a trying to defeat a Trump Republican.
WOW 2 days ago it was reported that McConnell was pulling funding from OZ, hope a deal has NOT been cut between OZ and McConnell throwing Trump under the bus!! Just sayin!!!
Please just stop! Hes pumped money to ALL our senate candidates! Lets join together and get this done! No way someone with the laundry list of baggage like Fetterman can win this!!!
I think Trumps attacks are frightening McConnell. Suddenly he is trying to flip the Senate. He sees America will notice if he doesn’t fight and that he will be held accountable.
You are correct Rose but this time it runs so much deeper, the ground is shifting under McConnell’s feet and he feels it.
Please stop! I guess youd rather have Fetterman...the most corrupt candidate to run for the Senate in a very long time!
