….Anchor Roop Raj then asked Dixon about whether she would support terminating the pregnancy of a 14-year-old rape victim.
Dixon replied that she had spoken to people who were the children of rape victims and that "the bond that those two people made and the fact that out of that tragedy there was healing through that baby, it's something that we don't think about."
"We assume that that story is someone who was taken from the front yard, then returned," she told Raj.
"Those voices—the babies of rape victims—that have come forward are very powerful when you hear their story and what the truth is behind that. It's very hard to not stand up for those people," she said.
As of Saturday morning, the video of the interview from Friday had been viewed nearly half a million times. Newsweek has contacted Planned Parenthood of Michigan for comment…

Aiken 2.0 ugh
"We're going to continue to play the Todd Akin-Richard Mourdock 'what if'n there's one o' them rapes' card on the stupid Republicans until they finally figure out how to play the Kari Lake card back on us."
The reality is, Republicans will always be asked trick questions. It is better to be circumspect than to play along and make a clumsy elaboration about some extreme scenario a trick question usually brings up. Every word will be twisted and broadcast. A Democrat can say something outrageous or just awkward and the media will hide it or gloss over it. It’s not an even playing field and Republicans are never given honest questions and they should be prepared for that.
She.
Not he.
It is right in the article.
That you did not read.
And yes, new life coming out of a horrible experience can be healing.
Not sure why you would argue with that.
And you are of course wrong.
Life does indeed begin at conception.
You have no idea when the soul enters the body or even what a soul is because you have lost yours entirely.
Where do you draw the line then?
Many times in a Women’s child bearing years a fertilized egg is washed away during her period or vacates the womb through other means.
It is my personal belief that life begins upon attachment to the womb.
But I highly respect those that belief at conception.
If she is speaking to voters she can speak directly. She should understand the 95% of journalists are there to KILL her chances and just speaking to them is unsafe.
Not quite but close enough for government work.
It is my personal belief that life begins upon attachment to the womb.
And you are wrong.
Please get a dictionary fake doctor.
But I highly respect those that belief at conception.
No, you don't.
David Chase. Here to lie.
Another unforced error by the GOP.
It looks like they will take the House but I have very serious doubts about the Senate. We have weak candidates in PA and GA. We relied on celebrity candidates just because Trump endorsed them. This should be a red tidal wave election but the GOP has found a way to screw it up
Wow.
Someone woke up on the wrong of the bed today.
Fake Doctor too?
Never claimed to be a Doctor.
It’s Biology 101.
You just Liz Cheney’ed your entire argument by being rude and and accusing me of lying.
Most people believe as I do. Because most people understand how basic reproduction takes place.
Have nice day.
“Quickening” is an archaic, unscientific term that indicates when the mother feels the baby move. It has no relation to when the baby actually begins to move which can be as early as 8-9 weeks of gestation.
As far as when the child is ensouled, I don’t think there is anyone who knows that for sure, and I don’t believe movement would be any more likely a sign of that than heartbeat or conception would be.
Conception is when a new DNA combination is created and triggers what is only growth and development after that. Nothing after conception causes such a profound change which would indicate a life-defining event. The heart beginning to beat and first movements don’t hold a candle to what happens at conception.
As far as the Christian evidence of when ensoulment occurs:
Mary went “with haste” to help Elizabeth when she learned of Elizabeth’s (6 month) pregnancy, which indicates Mary didn’t wait weeks to go. Preborn Jesus was obviously ensouled by the time she got there based on the reaction of the preborn John the Baptist to Mary’s greeting as she arrived.
Hopefully some food for thought.
Love, O2

Of course I didn’t. I’m just following honored Freeper tradition. Once you’ve been here for 10 years you need only read the except before posting.

I agree. But it’s counterproductive to make an anti-abortion argument based on that. Whatever truth is in that statement will be drowned out by the clash of the two words “bonding” and “rape”. Please see my post #9.
Why would anyone run against them? Common people say things that the media can twist.
Then our side follows the commie press narratives like pied pipers and cannonades our own people, rather than stick to the damage Whitler and others have done as tyrants. Same crap every election. We deserve to lose.
We tell people to participate and when they do we jump to every media song like lemmings.
Geezers why can’t they just say I’m not going to answer stupid questions?
The Dems set traps for the GOP candidates and they walk right into them. We need batter candidates.
The term "rape" applies to anyone under the age of consent. it may be consensual sex with the boyfriend but if he's 18, it's rape.
Interesting that Newsweek, and ultra liberal rag, would use this guy as the meat to be eaten in this hit piece.
Collins is an anti-Trump listed republican that has criticized Trump consistently and has taken the ultimate liberal stance in his approach:
“Collins criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump, and said he would either vote for independent Evan McMullin or leave that part of the ballot blank.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neal_Collins_(politician)
And I say interesting in that he is a liberal supporter in his approach. They may need him later. Kind of like killing the golden goose.

It a rite of passage. Each election season, some Republican candidate has to say something stupid about rape. This time it was Dixon’s turn.
They don’t even have to trap them. The GOP freely give it to them. This is the Akin statement updated.
