The original version, known as the "Detroit version" because it was only marketed in the Detroit area.

This Video is, "Nosotros" by Rachael Y Vilray. This song requires some explanation: This song was written by a man named Pedro Junco. He was born in 1920 but died in 1943 at the age of 23. He wrote this song to his fiancée in 1942. He discovered that he was dying of Tuberculosis. The song tells her of how much he loves her but that she shouldn't ask any questions. She should simply walk away because he is telling her that their love cannot be and that it is for her own good. The Video is followed by the Normal Music List.

Motown? Where do you start. So many 1960s classics it's hard to keep track!

Shortly after Motown issued this record, it had to be yanked off the market. Lawyers for another group that was selling a lot of records at the time complained this band's sound was a rip-off of theirs. Nonetheless, it's a great tune and I like it better than most of the music put out by the group that was doing the complaining.

In 1958, the country went through a severe recession that helped to propel the Democrats to a landslide win in November. The Silhouettes couldn't find employment, yet both the Miracles and the Heartbeats were able to buck the hard times and find work.
