North Carolina’s Supreme Court has made one of the most insane judicial decisions in the nation’s history, and that’s absolutely not hyperbole.
In what can only be described as a full-scale judicial coup, the Democrat-controlled body has ruled that the North Carolina General Assembly is illegitimate and can not enact amendments to the state’s constitution. Their reasoning? That the state’s legislature is “gerrymandered.”
That’s a big step toward civil war
It’s getting closer all the time.
Is there are a real violation against a law involving gerrymandering? Can the judge point to it? Because this sounds like: “You guys can’t do stuff. Because reasons.”
It’s going to take more than words to stop our out-of-control judiciary.
Appeal strait to USSC!
This is actually what they are for.
Hopefully they will act without delay.
Does this ruling mean that the NC legislature cannot impeach these “justices” either???
Impeach them.
How many battalions does the NC SC have? The legislature could impeach them all, cut off their paychecks/benefits and the guv could have the state police remove them from their chambers immediately.
Unless the legislature and administration consists entirely of spineless politicians. In which case, that is the fault of the NC voters.

If you don’t elect who the partisan judges want, they will deny the people you do elect the power to do what you elected them to do.
It’s not crazy.
It’s evil.
Stop ALL funding for the Supreme Court, including staff and support services, and if they object tell them that money cannot be allocated because the legislature is "illegal".
The USSC has never acted without delay.
Are the Supreme Court justices in North Carolina appointed or elected?

Then again, I've been waiting for some Lefty dominated court to rule the US Constitution "unconstitutional". Given the insanity lately, I just may get to see it happen.
The Roberts court goes with the legislature almost every time.
