FBI raid of Trump’s home stems from a wary federal record keeper who alerted Justice Department

The Aug. 8 search of former President Donald Trump’s home and the unprecedented criminal investigation into his possession of White House documents all began with David Ferriero, the now-retired national archivist who alerted the Justice Department after finding classified information in boxes he retrieved from Mar-a-Lago.

Critics say Mr. Ferriero is a partisan who changed the rules to help excuse Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when she was under scrutiny for mishandling classified documents on her private, unsecured email server.

They also say the raid for a criminal investigation is just another politically motivated scheme to take down Mr. Trump, who remains popular among many voters and is weighing a 2024 White House bid. This time, the dispute is over the Federal Records Act. Trump supporters say it hardly warrants an investigation or raid of ...

IIRC, President Trump mentioned at one of his rallies that he has been audited ad nauseam.

THEY are correct.

Any normal American not under the influence of Trump Derangement Syndrome would reckon so.

Yes or no, Susan, did the FBI use the Steele Dossier to get the original FISA warrant even knowing it was campaign material from the Clinton campaign and made up?

It really isn't he said; she said.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Total BS. The underling may have tipped off the higher ups, but that should have only led to inquiries and maybe subpoenas. There is no excuse for the raid.

David S. Ferriero retired in April 2022. President Obama appointed Ferriero in 2009. He was the first librarian to hold the position. The guy retired in April , but the DOJ didn't seek a warrant over his so-called concerns, until months later? Where was this guy when his best bud Obama walked off with thousands of Presidential documents that have yet to be inventoried and catalogued as promised?

This is who Biden nominated two weeks ago to replace Ferriero. Can't figure out if it's a man or a woman:

Biden Chooses Colleen Shogan for National Archivist Post

Here is a Blaze article covering who Ferriero told the Biden camp to replace him with. Ferriero is pictured with Pelosi at the link. Ferriero says retired when he did so he could specifically be replaced by Biden:

Retiring US archivist tells White House: Administration 'better not hire another white male'

Also, here's an article from The Federalist from 3 days ago:

Records Suggest A Backbench Bureaucrat’s Partisan Grievance Spurred The FBI’s Nakedly Political Raid On Trump

Now we know the motivation factor behind Mr. Ferrierro's assault on President Trump:

The weary part jumped the shark. More swamp used car salesmen lines.

This crap will be like the impeachment trial. There will be this Vindman clone for public consumption, and the top-secret whistleblower, he whose name can not be mentioned and he whose testimony cannot be required.

What’s in it for Ferrierro? See my post #47. That big fat bulge in his butt-cheeks is just the down payment.

"So, is this the guy who was on duty when Sandy Burglar was stuffing sh*t for the Clintoons..."

He wasn't the Archivist at the time Berger stole the documents. This guy was:

John W. Carlin

Berger stole the documents in October 2003. Carlin is a former politician, and member of the Democrat party. Clinton appointed him archivist, obviously for a reason. Wikipedia reports that the Bush administration refused to renew his term as Archivist because of an argument over Executive Order 13233 (link at Wikipedia site).

I was unable to find any information regarding John Carlin ever being held responsible in connection with Berger's theft, despite the fact that he was the Archivist at the time. Berger got off lightly as well.

I think after President Trump announces his candidacy, he will roll out part one of the goods he has on the Democrats. This will initiate a nice indictment on all the Dems involved in that one after the GOP gets both houses of Congress in the midterms.

So this guy is the “cloth” Hillary referred to? The archive fixer? The guy who makes problems disappear for some? The Sandy Berger sock hamper guy?
